If I was Kawasaki I would do a 125 with an easy 150 kit. That would cover a lot of classes both in woods and mx.

The clutch, mostly the internal rubbers, is the one thing that has me concerned about the new design. Time will tell when everyone gets their hands on it. According to the R&D team, a version of that clutch has been in the MXGP bikes for almost three years. However, the US team has never used it when I asked them.

Did they not do any laps around the track at LL? That's an odd decision. If it's there and ready to be started everyday, why not have RV or someone rip a lap or two?

Go watch MotoAmerica Supersport. Kayla Yaakov has been running at the front all year with some very fast guys. I know it’s not motocross but I’ve done both sports and racing sport bikes isn’t for the weak either. She’s got a few pole positions, a lap record and multiple podiums including the Daytona 200. It definitely gets harder for the girls as they get older. I’d love to see a female make it into the top 10 of supercross or MX

The fact that Kawasaki went to the trouble of making a completly different transmission for the X shows how committed they are to both bikes. They could have slapped an 18 on the back, fitted a kickstand and called it good like the Yamaha X models.

electronic adjust on the fly suspension. just like fox does for the raptors and side by sides. factory bikes and eventually consumer bike will have suspension that gets soft in the bumps and goes to fmx stiffness over jumps. its wild how good the big vehicles handle with shocks like that

We have electronic suspension already (for the fork at least) through Dal Soggio's NXTRAX kit. I got to see it first hand on Clayton Gerstners beta at the Scot Harden Idaho ride, I cant believe people aren't talking about it more! The thing I want to see chassis development wise are reach and angle adjustable headsets/headtubes like the mtb industry. This is the single biggest change I think mfg's can make to have their bikes fit a wider range of people comfortably and I know I would personally benefit from like another degree and a half of angle on my...
