Why is it that the stuff that women crave is the exact stuff that is so irritating. How many of us want to just go running around just to go running around - Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Cloth World, Target (not to get anything in particular, but to look around), eat at Olive Garden. Then, it’s like “Hey, it’s 5pm, let’s get out and drive around (in the 5’clock freakin traffic).”
Okay, rant over 😳
You’re not the only one buddy. I go for her. Not me. Do I hate it? Absolutely. But, she’ll never be able to say, I’m always out fishing with my friends and, never spending any time doing what she wants to do with her.
I’m convinced Olive Garden puts something in their food that makes women enjoy it
Absolute garbage ass food yet somehow every female enjoys it
I learned a trick awhile ago and the wife has bought into it for her sanity as well. I start the day with a good lunch and couple pints of beer. Followed by a trip to brewery and sample pack of beer mid day. She gets a couple sips of beers she likes, and I drink the rest which is bulk of it. Makes shopping much more enjoyable.

I'm up early every day, at least a couple of hours before she arises.
If I have any running around to do, it's out the door asap, get it done, and get my ass back home long before lunch.
Hit the courthouse today for trailer tags, and business taxes, then off to get cabinet hardware and paint for the two projects in the shop.
Home before 10:30.
Where soon after she comes out in the shop, asks when am I going to go get my tags, etc...
"Already been there and back".
Can rarely get her up and running before late morning, and almost never out the door before noon.
And yeah, I'm along for the ride as she's out running around in late afternoon traffic.
At least she always picks up the tab for dinner. And not some cheap ass place like olive garden.
I've been bach'n it for about 15 years and other than raising my family, this is the happiest I have been in a long time. I cant even think of any woman I know, that I would want to live with.
Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, Target, etc., the wife and I both made a mutual decision many years ago that she is solo on those trips.
I used to irritate her because I must have a purpose when shopping- get the item(s) I need and leave.
She irritated me because she wanted to wander every aisle and just look around.
I don't want to be at those places, and she no longer wants me to go to those places. Much more peaceful now.
I even do 90% of the grocery shopping for us, I make a list of what we need and bring everything home.
When she grocery shops, she brings home a bunch of shit we didn't need- and forgets half the items she was supposed to get. No thanks, I'll do it.
My wife does not like taking me shopping anymore because I will just follow her around...No different than taking my wife to the motorcycle dealer- I would never do it. Then she would know what stuff really costs- She is in the same boat...
I hate when my wife turns everything into an event . Hey let's take a drive to the lake for an hour to get away. Next thing ya know ,food needs to be packed and 8 more people are coming with us.
Am I needing to turn in my man card? I go with her because that's some of the only time I get to spend with her. Over the course of Friday evening through the weekend, we hit Costco, Costco Business, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Winco. She enjoys reading before falling asleep, sometimes I'll tell her, let's go to happy hour for tacos and then off to Barnes & Nobel. I like hanging out with her. I got very lucky! She also often tells me to go surfing or lunch with my best friend when she's busy. We both have to look at life through a more finite lens though.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.😉
I am banned from even entering pure hockey without her going along. I guess she knows I oogle all the latest bauer gear.
I guess us both being seniors avoiding populous areas and getting home by 3pm is something we both agree on.
She is a gem she hates target would never eat olive garden and as for shopping she is out before i chek non moto.
Priceless
Hahaha. 😆 Oh I know.
I need to work on my attitude. And yes, I love the grandbaby, but dang, when her mommy finally gets a day off to watch her, I want to go ride or work out and not spend all day going to Home Depot just to browse for mulch or look at doors to put on this ol run down shed we got.
Anyway, here’s the main culprit (the kid looks pretty scraggly in this one lol) 😎
Your card is safe.
I'm with ya'.
Can't imagine anyone else who I'd rather hang out with than her.
Hahaha!
I'ma send this link to all your wives.
Im super lucky, my wife doesn't like shopping, she's a destination shopper get in, get what we need and get out. Unless it' bookstore.and she would rather do that solo.

Why is it that the stuff that men crave is the exact stuff that woman find so irritating?
Exactly 👍
The world would be boring if everybody was the same, who would you complain about?
I’m sure I’d find something 😏
Fortunately, we got a super sweet grand daughter. Don’t get me wrong, she gets into literally everything (yes cat litter). But how can you be mad at her. Lol
And, WTF is wrong with Hobby Lobby?!?!
I like buying art supplies lol
Drew these during Covid.
I guess it’s not when you’re finding stuff like that, but how many different kinds of yarn do you need?! Dang
Wow man, those are really good 👍
My daughter crochets. She’ll buy 12 rolls of that shit at a time. It’s never enough lol
Thanks
So simply put and so true. My thoughts on "man card" is taking care of your woman no matter what.
I love spending quality time with my old lady, not sure what ya'll are on about here. (Did I forget to mention that we dont live together?) 😅
My wife is my best friend and I dont care what we are doing as long as we get to hang out together. I am flat-out grateful to go shopping with her if thats what the order of business is for that day.
Lucked out myself and married my best friend also, coming up on our 43rd anniversary. It's not all wine and roses, but it is worth the effort.
Don't we men do the same thing going to look at the motorcycles at the local dealers?
Since my wife retired she is now a full time knitter and going to look at yarns and knitting get togethers.
