AXO was such a cool brand. Tough to revive though, you have to be 40 now at minimum to have any reverence for it.

I reached out to AXO direct asking if they would sell to me in the US.  No reply.  Sent another email month later.  No reply.  They don't want to be over here at all?  If I could find a way to get some here stateside I'd buy in a heart beat.  Just to be back in my glory days with AXO gear again... (sigh) life was so much more simple back then.

I didn't even know they where still around and normally pretty well informed regarding gear brands / gear.

I rode with that stuff in my youth years as I did with Sinisalo which was bullet-proof stuff.

I’m 34 and grew up wearing it. Was one of the only kids that did until I hit high school and because we were minutes away from their US office, everyone in our area started wearing it.

Still have some of last stuff they released, Trans-AM vented gear.... extremely well built, still use it for some trail riding and looks decent to this day.

That's who I reached out to trying to find out if they will ship to the US.  They never answered 2x.  I have a backup plan though...  We have a French foreign exchange student living with us.  His Dad is going to bring some gear over for me when they come over this spring to see him.  He's a dirt bike kid also so it works for them "smuggle" some AXO stuff in for me.   😉

For my money, this is still the best looking gear ever made. I remember ordering this exact set along with the RC2 boots to match from Chaparral.axo.jpg?VersionId=JA0qrS

He may be detained at the border by US Customs.

I think Sinisalo MX gear is completely dead. YOKO still exists in a limited way, don't really know what is going on with them or is it available outside of Finland at all.

Kinda sad, but very typical story for a Finnish company that once was popular

I had all (3) versions of that gear, and the boots. Lol

Had the helmets too. I was lucky, I knew the owner and it was about 7 miles from my house.

This pic was 34 years ago, at Gorman.

My son is going to be 36 in March, he was (2) in the pic…

I had an AXO carbon- fiber helmet, long time ago. Very light compared to others. Not great melon-fit for me, but worth the trade-off.

I still have a pair of early 90s Sinisalo made AXO pants that have a ton of riding hours on them and look like new.

I was a die-hard AXO guy in the 80s and 90s.  I know the logo changed, but did they do a complete re-brand (assuming that was also the point Sinisalo fell off)?  Either way, it didn't end well, and for a company that was likely more or equally as popular as Fox.

If the brands doesn't give you want you want, some Chinese will. That gear looks awesome to be honest!

They make tons of vintage replica or collector racers jerseys, Axo, JT, Answer, whatever...

Only Fox is still there to go after them and take them down on a regular basis... and then, they come back.

I had some yellow and red boots Axo around 2001, some of the best boots I ever had.

Been seeing the Team Fantic racers wearing some really nuce AXO stuff on their posts. I wonder if that gear will become available for purchase.
