I disagree with this. I would say it would make no sense to run 250 MX next year (which isn't happening anyway) but I think another season in 250 SX will be good for him. As good as he is outdoors he has plenty of room to improve indoors yet.

It'll take a couple years to be in the championship mix for SX. In outdoors he can run podium right away. I dont see JCoop, AP or Hunter having anything Hayden doesn't have.

I wouldn’t say “easy” since he lost the title before, but there’s an advantage to running the shorter 250 indoor season and coming into the 450 outdoor season fresher than his full time 450 competition.

Make a but load more money get through sx and short sx series healthy, grab another title and then do 450 outdoors. It makes perfect sense in fact its stupid to do anything but this.
I can see them running the 250SX West Coast and 450SX East Coast. This gives him a lower pressure start to 450SX. That would be similar to his rookie 250 year where he ran a futures race and instantly went up. It reduces the pressure and allows for a learning mindset. It would also get him jump started on 450SMX points.
So what are we thinking? $2 million/year? More? Less?
He needs to step up to the 450 class for sx. Why would you stay in a class that you are already on another level?

He’s doing 250 SMX this year. The 450 SMX LCQ could come into play in 2026 depending on how things go. He would also presumably be able to choose 250 SMX and go for four straight.

This is my issue with Jett fans, he doesn't walk on water. He's also crashed the past two rounds in a row if we want to nitpick.
250 Star Team has the gear deal for their riders under their contract. Haiden is signed to the Yamaha team...which is contracted to Star for Operations. The Yamaha team has no such deal or incumbrancers.
Purportedly that means he is allowed to wear gear from his personal sponsor no matter which bike he is on...which means he could be in Fox gear as early as MXdN.
ML does a good job of covering this in his latest video.

I honestly believe RC4 or JS7 would have had a hard time beating Jett in a full MX season, giving the edge to RC4.

Do college qbs stay in college instead of being a first round pick so they can defend their title? People need to refresh their memory on list of guys that have won a 250 title that went on to not do much of anything in 450 class. It's half a series, minor league title..... it's a rung on the ladder.... stepping stone.... not the pinnacle that must be defended....
