Henry Miller at his home track, Millville. Believe it was 2017 moto 2. Pulled a big holeshot and then wadded up in corner 2.

Reedy starting his own team and ripping on all the factory bikes in 2011 was awesome.
Yeah yeah I know they ended up getting some factory parts, but that was only because HRC had their hand forced by the results.

Gavin Gracyk early 2000’s… he was even protested a few times accused of having a big bore. Think he earned a TLD Honda fill in ride eventually.

Pretty sure I've seen Kevin Moranz holeshot LCQs, heats AND mains in SX, he for sure has the starting game figured out

Barry Carsten holeshot a 450 moto at Budds, I believe it was the year before they moved the starting gate, so pre-MXON.    Guessing '06?

^Wow, what a great shot. You've beaten some heavy-hitters to the first turn! I think I see Albertyn, Windham, maybe Emig? Lusk barely got you on the inside. Nice start!

Not the ‘classic’ style first corner picture, but this is what first came to mind for me.

Next one is pretty obvious and might have been the highlight of American MX at the time (might still be!)

Timmy Walker, 125 class at Charlotte in ‘77 or ‘78, can’t remember which year.  Led about 1/2 of a 40+2 moto.  Us locals were running from fence to fence cheering him on and going bonkers.  Good times!

Are you guys trolling right now? This was only 3 years ago... You mean this FACTORY MONSTER ENERGY STAR RACING YAMAHA rider? 😄Yeah definitely not a privateer.

Yes biggest race in America ever .  And on a LOP bike from a tiny shop in Chicago land .  I watched it with a farmer I worked for we both where yelling for Marty .  Most gritty ride ever .  Rick Ryan,s Daytona win was amyride too . Guys that sell a 87 today say a privateer won Daytona on it .  Good stuff you found there.

It was a mud race but Dayton Briggs is a recent one, holeshot and led laps in the main, not sure if he has even qualified for the gate since
