i dont follow deegan much, other than what i see on the track and the occasional interview,which hes an absolute beast,but he reminds a bit of herlings back in the day and it seems hes looses a lot fans off the track and he seems to take a bit of flack on here
does he remind you of herlings (in is early days) with being bit of a Banana in front of the mike.
will deegan eventually become a fans favourite, like herlings is now, from what i see deegan is slowly getting a bit more love on here.
obviously herlings has matured and mellowed in his old age and has the fans onboard now
People love winners...if he keeps winning he will get more popular. Some will dislike him if he keeps winning and some will dislike him if he stays cocky. It's the nature of the beast for an athlete.
Like most previous riders with similar attitude he will become one of the most favourite riders especially if hes the only American giving it to Jett.
Will he eventually become a fan favorite? He's the most popular rider in the states, probably the world. Not sure what you're seeing. Yeah he's got a big group that dislike him but it's massively outnumbered by the biggest fanbase in the sport
The question is how long will he be sandbaging 250 class

I think Deegen is an awesome rider to watch and follow when racing.
When not racing why do people care what he does in his private life.
I’ve watched his YT channel and the practice footage is cool. Also, watched him and his family at some lake house and then asked myself why I give a shit about his lake house. lol.
Everyone I talk to at the track is a fan. Maybe its an East Coast thing
I would say hes more Mike Alessi than Herlings.

Deegan had a bigger fan base than the vast majority of active pros back when he was like 14 years old. I think he's a cunt but I'm in the minority on that one 😂
Intresting thing with equating fan favorite to social media followers. Would think many young people follow a few different riders, just cause peole follow rider A doesn't mean they root for him over rider B. (Who they also follow).
I’m not convinced that having the bigger number of insta followers actually translates to having the most fans. It simply means you’ve shared more content to the available audience.
I think Herlings was more of a prickly pear with a chip on his shoulder. Haiden has grown up with all this attention and to me he says things just to stir shit up.

Totally different. Herlings always had the attitude of just calling it as he sees it and got flack for saying "motherfucker" on llive TV. Deegan gets more flak because the things he says come off as disingenuous and part of a persona.
Except for the part where he wins titles at the pro ranks.
Deegan has cult like following. He’s one of the sports biggest riders in the fans eyes. Go to a race look at the ridiculous crowds outside of his tent each weekend.
Those people, like me, who disliked Herlings as a person changed their minds when he matured and became the respected pro that he is. Deegan is still young & stupid so the jury's still out.
