Staying down is the right move.  RC himself wishes he raced a 125 in 99, and had not moved up.

He's only 19.

Starting outdoors on the 450 is the smartest move. It is the trend these days and for good reason.

Can't argue with the results, he's absolutely hammering these guys. I understand it's not the best 250 field we've seen, but I don't think any of the MX2 riders could run with him either

Just put him on the 450 already, I'm ready to see him go after Jett

Speaking of which, it's time we get rid of the coastal series for 250 SX and go to a full combined schedule. Would be a lot cooler to see all the best 250 guys go at it every weekend

It’s almost like you are forgetting the SX series 3 months ago where he wasn’t dominating…he’s a beast outdoors but inside he’s good not great

Three years ago he was fast but a danger to himself, and often to those nearby.
Last year he won through sheer determination, but still looked to be moments away from disaster.
However this year is different. He’s obviously worked on his technique and is simply the best 250 rider in the field.
How that transfers to 450s is anyone’s guess.

I'm no fan of Deegan (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I usually toss it in there for the mindless haters who don't like him and can't say anything positive without a side jab, that it's OK to admit when something is objectively true 🤷

Like I think he may make some very good 450 riders very upset if he races MXoN on a 250.

100% race 1/2 the SX series, rest and test 450 during that break while the others are still grinding SX. Smart move to transition. Worst case would be injury during the off season not allowing him to ride the west coast.

Really hope he goes to the MXdN, the 250 rider is the key to winning the event overall and we haven't had our best 250 rider there in a while.

It's almost like you are forgetting that Haiden had the most wins, was more often than not the fastest guy, and won the series with a round to go.

He sure as hell dominated the last couple of races

Obviously Deegan isn't as good in SX as MX but who do you legitimately think has the speed and, more importantly, the consistency to beat him aside from Davies? Vialle and RJ are gone, Shimoda is too inconsistent, Juju has taken a step back, Forkner isn't the same rider anymore, etc.

Kitchen is the only guy I think might be able to pull it off but with the way Deegan is progressing I don't think it's gonna happen. I hope it does because I definitely like Kitchen more

Not even close.  He's dominating.

All the people behind him keeping him on a leash locked to stay focused on being the fastest paid off.  Just like the local kid that lives at a training camp , has mechanic, etc. you might give him a little bit of a race but he’s still gonna win. Powerful team & bike the other riders feel it at the races. And there basically racing for 2nd at best.  If he wanted to just screw off not ride or train That would never happen.  That’s tough to do in 25 I give him credit.   Think about the path as a amateur he had a lot of people behind him directing his path. And his bikes where fast . Turn pro then increase everything.

I saw him race 91 Millville Very tough to win a moto back then.  Imagine racing 250 sx & 250 national riders that there manufacture didn’t make a 500.  So they raced the 125 class like Larocco fastest I ever saw a rider hit a corner .  After the 1st corner the next left wo in 4th Super quick bar drag

They’re going the Lawrence route, Jett did 4 years on a 250 in SX and 3 years in mx. If they would’ve won in SX in year 2 then he would be moving up for SX.

He’s killing it outdoors, no doubt about it he is ready for the move to 450s. I still think another year indoors on the 250 it’s really smart, it will benefit him long term

The little fella will definitely need another year on a 250 indoors he isn’t there just yet in SX but with another season who knows he might just get there 👍

Ha it’s nothing to do with VitalMx, it’s because I don’t like Deegan and it actually annoys me that he’s doing so well 😂 but I’m also not so one eyed that I can’t see how much he’s improved. Credit where credit is due.

Does it really? Even disliking him, does his riding entertain you? I'm really indifferent when it comes to Haiden. I wouldn't say I'm a fan but god damn is he exciting to watch

Yep. Best example are Ferrandis and Jett, still defended 250 SX and had a good chunk of time to get ready for 450 MX, turned out pretty good for them.. I don't know why everyone wants to rush these riders, the times were riders retire at 26-27 are over. He will enough more than enough years in the 450 class.

Shoot, we're watching RJ look pretty damn good on a 450 this summer. If a dude like RJ isnt a testament to going 450 mx first, I dont know who is

Racers do not hate each other said Bob Hannah never. Here is what Bob Hannah said:

"These riders aren’t tired of hearing about Jeremy McGrath, Jeremy McGrath and Jeremy McGrath. They aren’t jealous of McGrath. That is sad. I would hate Jeremy if I was racing against him. I would want to beat him bad."

Brian blowing himself about being on SportsCenter. 971  "massaging" Brian. You hate Webb and constantly call him fat and make cracks at his appearance. A sexual play on my username, good one.
