Few years back when actually being serious about moto my buddy was still racing supercross and we’d stay out in riverside. Wee bit cheaper

The company I work for pretty much only does luxury houses. The funny thing is that it will be lived in by two people and some help. Even funnier is that you can bet your next paycheck that whoever buys that 70 mil house will immediately do a 20 mil remodel on it. I am not in any way kidding.
I have relatives (distant) that live in Newport on Linda Isle, right on the bay. Very exclusive gated man-made island with about 75 houses (guesstimate).
It was a house they inherited in the late 80's (built in the early 80's by the Father who was a prominent LA architect and investor in the 60's/70's).
Haven't checked in years, but it has got to be worth $6-9mil, nice house but getting dated (I think they did a renovation in the late 90's). I think they said the HOA fees were like $2,800 a month.
About 15 years ago, they had to rebuild the sea wall around their dock, it was like $700k just for that project to rebuild a seawall and repair the dock.
And they are in one of the "least expensive" houses on the Island, just a whole different world of wealth in Newport Beach.
And RV having an acre, that is very rare in that area.
World has gone mad. We have people sitting outside grocery stores begging for money and people that live in places like that

At this point, I am kind of numb to it. We just got the lighting package for a new remodel in Rancho Santa Fe. It is 10 lights and $650,000. No that isn't a typo. The main chandelier is $300k. My customers range from the nicest people you ever want to meet to people who I wouldn't spit in their mouth if they were dying of thirst. If I had to stereotype them, they lean towards the later. Most of it is because they are so out of touch with normal life. They don't realize that them burning a worker for $500 has the same financial impact as burning them for 50 million.
That’s a hell of a house.
