Before the second moto started, they came over the loudspeakers and warned the crowd that lightning was in the area and they could call the race and ask everyone to evacuate at any moment.
The rain and lightning that hit about 5 mins after they called the race was INSANE.

To think the suffering of all those people injured and killed by lightning strikes at AMA Nationals before they brought out red flags back in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, and 2010's weren't in vain certainly warms my heart...even though nobody has every been struck by lightning attending an AMA National, not one, ever. 🤫
