I flagged the race yesterday. Five lightning delays and two torrential downpours. We raced until about 7:30 pm, and the track really was in pretty good condition all day, especially before the first downpour after moto 3. Even after that, the owner worked the track and had his crew push the top layer of muck off the track, and the conditions were still surprisingly good. For sure, no dust! The track owner obtained additional parking Thursday night or early Friday am at a plant next door, and there were plenty of parking spots for everyone, but it was crowded. I...

He controls who hosts these and sets the terms the promoters have to agree to, right? The biggest issue seems to be capacity regardless of rain. Sounds like the turnout is typical for the last round because of the rules they have in place. Also should have been easy to anticipate before putting a regional there. So not much of a stretch to think they're fine with all of this, for obvious reasons.

Finally it’s been a cold yr. Sat,sun race in Xmas, Mi. In the UP . It was a high of 54& 51, I put a Fat main jet in . But I never made it riding during the week on a sand track 120 mi away . And my back nerves, hip pain was too tight & dead leg , foot is all numb. Lower Mi. Is usually hotter than Green Bay . Sat it shows hot yet here next sat. I might hv to get a personal loan to race AM day. Lol I Love riding in the heat...

My all time favorite, hands down, is from Jeff Stanton circa I think the 1989 MXdN where he went into the the woods and passed Dirk Guekens to clinch the win for the US. "I parked him"...coolest quote ever! I feel like ever since then, "park him" has been a part of our American motocross vocabulary. Just last weekend...in reference to Jo trying to get around Minear....I found myself saying, "Jo needs to park him " 😀

IMO, viewership for Loretta's just went down significantly.

It was an embarrassment to the sport when they were using them to disrupt the interviews. The person(s) doing so are under the effect of alcohol most likely and are just attempting to be a nuisance. Ban air horns, chainsaws etc around the podium area. Some countries would have public stoning for this type of behavior. Tracks need to mitigate this now. Im confident that the Martin boys wont tolerate this when they host the national next month.

With such an absurd amount of penalties, it makes me think…it’s kind of like when a whole bunch of students fail a subject, at what point do you blame the institution?

Been around this sport for 50+ years and watching the podium today with obnoxious chainsaws and air horns in the background when riders are giving interviews was an all time low for me. AMA/MX Sports seriously to ban them. Anybody that watches this who is not a hardcore fan, must think this is some kind of hillbilly sport and probably will not watch it again.

What happened to the golden era of MX and places like Unadilla and the Hill People? Who can forget the electric bikes, the silent gallery/crowd during the motos and golf claps at the podium after the epic Hannah rides? What has happened to the civility and refinement? Maybe it's JT$ with his poetry quotes and intimidating vocabulary ("unloosen") that has brought the barbarity to the sport recently?
