He hasn’t finished a full season since 2022 could be a factor.
Eli could probably beat Webb outdoors on a 250
Awesome. I’m sure it will be announced more officially shortly 😎

Eli could beat Webb outdoors on an 85.
This is like deja vu. Seems like be seen that statement somewhere.
Meanwhile, in Cortez, CO more testing appears to be going on
Why even say this if you're not willing to offer more details? If you know, why not give specifics instead of vague statement that let's you come back and say I told you so even though you didn't really tell us anything?
So everyone thinks he’s cool dude obviously.
Eli will do damage on the 2026 Bajaj 450 SX-F (Pic from MotoGP today on the "KTM" RC16s from Adam Wheeler)
An absolute shame we may not see Eli finish his career on blue.
Genuine question- why?
Tomac spent his amateur career on Suzuki. Since going Pro, he’s had 6 years on Honda, 6 years on Kawi, and this is his 4th on Yami.
People said the same thing when he left Honda. People said the same thing when he left Kawasaki. Beast mode is beast mode. Doesn’t matter the color!
Reminder..
Damn. After a day like today, all I gotta say is…come on Star and Yamaha! Find a way to keep him on! ET gels so damn well with the bike and has the tools to take the fight to Jett and co.! 😭
It was damn good to see Tomac ripping again. I was at Pala and that 2nd moto was such a sight to see..
The nagging injury thing is a concern with Webb and getting more frequent limiting him outdoors but he's Mr Consistency in SX. Tomac has been hit by freak injuries ending recent SX seasons but is still Mr Beast outdoors. Seems there must be a way to keep both on Yamahas with Webb mainly the SX guy and Tomac mainly the outdoors guy and if either has a series ending injury the other guy could fill the opening without hiring anyone from outside. Shuffling the $ numbers shouldn't be impossible with a good accountant?
Wonder if all the media that shit all over Tomac on the preseason shows have a change of tune.
Pit Row
Eli silenced some of the guys in this thread. He may have had a rough couple of years, no different than Jett who’s way younger or really any other rider at points in their career. He still has elite speed.
Eli showed he’s still better then everyone not named Jett yesterday in that 2nd moto. They whooped up on everybody.
I see Eli winning hangtown next week.
I just hope he can ride like he did yesterday on a Ducati or KTM or whatever bike he ends up riding next year.
Especially on Star power
The next question is can Eli keep the pressure on Jett for two motos and can he sustain it for the whole series?
You know Jett is going to be upfront every time.
That would be amazing. Like James said, he’ll learn from watching the reply and hopefully they get the rear end of the bike more settled.
If star trims some fat from their 250 team, they could move that money over to their 450 budget and keep ET.
Exactly, the way that rear end beat him to death HAD to be a huge energy drain. I considered his rides a testament to his mental and physical fitness. Impressed the hell out of me.
Truthfully, I'm gonna guess his suspension is a-ok by Hangtown.
How many 250 riders does Star employ? Seems Yamaha has a heck of a line up.
What they did to the entire field Saturday was scary for everyone else. 2022 repeat.
Wonder is Bobby and Yamaha find a budget for Eli after the weekend.
How you can let Eli go is beyond me.
Get rid of most of the 250 team
