Disappointed he apologized to a bunch of booing cowards. I'm sure it wasn't his choice.

I totally agree. My god we all take ourselves waaaaaay to seriously. Seriously I could give two shits what any of these guys say on the podium.

Yes, cowards. Booing from their seats, and unlike the false picture you paint, they booed because while Haiden was being interviewed they replayed his pass on Cole. That's what they were booing-- a legitimate pass.

Glad he told them to suck it. He meant it.

His obsession with Deegan is borderline creepy

Borderline?  No, it's full on creepy, pathetic and sad.

I’m a Deegan critic for sure. But this was a great look. It took minimal effort and will be totally worth it in the long run.

Yeah it was sarcasm lol. Never comes across right on a forum 😂

Cowards? Or fans of the sport that are tired of the clown show that he brings to it? Glad he apologized, regardless of who told him to. While he should have the common sense to know that comment would not go over well, at least someone is giving him sound advice. He should listen to that person more often.

Clown show. Hell, he is the most fun/interesting thing in the sport since Hannah. He obviously puts in the work, he wins a lot and does it many times by running people down later in races and he is a young cocky dude that by all accounts is actually a great kid. I've had must see guys in this sport ever since I got the bug in the seventies. Smith, Hannah, Magoo, RJ, MC, Fro, RC, Bubba, Chad, RV, Bam Bam, ET3 and now Haiden. Without Haiden at this point my interest would definitely wane somewhat.

So now you're saying he's a liar? That there's no chance that after a couple of days to reflect on the comment he regrets having said it? That it's all just a farce? I can be a fan of a young man that makes a mistake and admits it. I can't imagine he would want fans that think he's a fake.... Fickle bunch around here.

I don't think he's lying at all because I don't think he wrote it. Also, he doesn't need you to be a fan bro so get over yourself.

The latest Deegan youtube highlights him telling the losers to suck it so obviously the pr department made the move because whiny, entitled, so-called moto fans got their fragile feelings upset.

I would argue the look on Deegan's face and then response when the booing started points to a dude with a fragile ego.  As for the apology, great he said it. No point in arguing the fact it wasn't even in his own words.

Lol...I love seeing Deegan on the podium...waiting for what he is going to say. Well done Kiddo. I like FINALLY seeing someone in this sport who just let's it rip and doesn't seem so buttoned down and kissing every sponsors ass as their podium speech.

I agree with the sentiment that somebody up the Yamaha or Star food chain insisted on a public apology. How many people think Deegan was saying suck my tool verses using the term "Suck it" as an idiom? I would bet the kid is still a virgin and not sexually active so I think it's a term his generation uses that is comparable to shut the "F" up. For these kids the term has become a colloquialism

colloquialism noun

col·lo·qui·al·ism kə-ˈlō-kwē-ə-ˌli-zəm

1

a : a colloquial expression

"Chicken out" is a colloquialism for "to lose one's nerve."

b : a local or regional dialect expression

"Bodacious" originated as a Southern colloquialism.

Needs to start his own team with his own sponsors and then can tell everyone to suck it.

They are coming to a crossroad that's for sure,

Yamaha hasn't been all that happy with Brian - that's no secret.

They are going to have to figure out what way they want to go - especially once he moves up.

Do they want to take the corporate route and clean up their image and satisfy the powers that be?

Or do they give a big FU to the corporate powers that be and go their own direction?

Going their own direction obviously the odds are stacked against them.

It should be interesting to see what they do.

I laughed when they were on the Fox News segment and Lawrence Jones referred to Brian as a “legend” of the sport.

I wonder who told Lawrence to say that.

Kind of amazing that getting arrested was celebrated but some juvenile language on the podium leads to an apology.

He recently changed it to the picture of him on the podium with his tounge out.

I can't stand the kid, but what else can he really do/say other than this? I mean, it is what it is. Was a stupid comment post-race and so let's move on and just talk about the outdoors for cripe's sake.

Is it just me, or do apologies seem off-brand for him? I agree that this sounds very much like someone told him to apologize.

Then...you'll be talking A LOT about Deegan during the Nats. His skills outdoors are almost on a stupid level sometimes. Going to be fun watching him absolutely pinning that 250.

If he wants to play the heel, and get motivation off of the "haters" and doubters, why not just own it? The podium speech was worse than the actual pass, sure. But did his dad ever apologize for talking shit to TP199? Do Barcia or Friese ever apologize for their antics? He seems to try and toe the line between hardworking kid who just wants to "lock in" and badass run your mouth "bro" who won't hesitate to talk shit and back it up. But it just ends up looking like he's confused about who to be more than anything🤷‍♂️
