I had a great guy do mine, no stiches. Little sore the next day.
Like a week maybe. I was back to work the next night. I guess I could understand a doctor saying 2 weeks just to be cautious, but 6 months is absolutely bananas.
I think I was 3 or 4 weeks out before I rode. All was good for the most part. Don’t rush it though
I’d be worrying about something other than riding!

I broke all the rules. Was in a new relationship and did the dirty dirty 2 days after and rode 2 weeks after, no issues.
Ice immediately and then more ice. Funny story the nurse came in to prep and shave me - it was a big Dude I'm like wtf, then the Dr came in and she was a gorgeous red head... Ice it and ride in 2 days
You don’t have to worry about that anymore after getting snipped!
I know 2 people that had major issues after vasectomies from being active to early. One guy lost a nut, and another had his vas grow back together and ended up with baby number 4.
Knowing that when I had mine I got home and went straight to bed for 24hrs. I used left over pain killers from an old knee surgery, not to relieve pain but to keep doped up so I would stay in bed. Then another 24hrs on the couch. I took it real easy for 1 week.
I’d say 2 weeks to be back in bike. You’ll probably feel fine, and probably would be fine sooner. But seeing one of my buddies nuts turn into avocados, and then having emergency surgery to remove one of those nuts, I’d suggest to take it easy for at least 2 weeks.
I rode my adventure bike the next day, was riding big mountains on my snowmobile 3 days later. Mildly sore was the extent of it. doctor said wait 2 weeks to resume that activity but that it's really up to me.
This is one of those things where a little discretion goes a long way. Unless you're doing this for a paycheck, just take it easy for about a month. I've heard horror stories about guys who tried to do too much too soon. I personally went to a college football game three days after mine. What harm could it do? Big mistake. From the long walk from the tailgate to the stadium, to sitting on aluminum bleaches, let's just say it made for an uncomfortable situation, and I prolonged my recovery by weeks.
I must be a weak, I wasn't comfortable for almost a month. 😂
Wtf? Why would someone do this voluntarily? Nobody getting near my junk with a knife!
Riding in two weeks is reasonable. The pain went away after a few days until I hopped off the tailgate of the truck, then the pain came back a for a another day or two.
Man I’m with you on this one
Could you go ride the next week and be fine, probably
But I cannot see how one weekend of riding is worth the risk
Wait the 2 weeks and you will be fine
Don't stomp your foot on the ground to knock mud off your shoe, trust me on that one.
6 months? It's a vasectomy, not a sex change😂
Run from any doctor that tells you that kind of time frame.
I skipped one weekend and was riding the next. Ice ice and more ice!
My wash nurse was an old lady but she had a fat ass so I popped a boner. Then my surgeon doc was a dude that wanted to make small talk conversation while chopping into my balls. What a weird medical experience. Anyways, took a few days and was back to riding the bike and I started dating the old nurse, jk.

I’m going to be having my procedure sometime after thanksgiving.
I went snowmobiling the next day and was definitely feeling it. Give it a week and you will back to normal
I don't know what would be worse; big dude or hot redhead working on my nether regions. Either way, you don't want that one to go wrong.
My doctor is a kind of hot MILF and her entire team of PAs and reception is 20-something hot chicks. I am going to have a really, really weird time when I go in for a prostate exam. 🤪
Hahaha. Internet gold!!!
My nurse gave me the nicest compliment... "you've done a wonderful job of shaving your testicles!" Hahaha.
I was teaching spin classes at the time, took a week off and all was good. No pain through the whole procedure. Just be careful nutting in the old girl until you've had the swimmers checked after a month.
After 1 or 2 weeks I don’t really remember, but I was feeling normal again….until I tried to jog or run. Just took it easy and nothing really physical I think for 2 or 3 weeks. A friend had ongoing pain for atleast a year afterwards, but I don’t know what caused it.
Definitely stay away from any vintage bikes with steel tanks!!! 😁 😁
I got mine right in his office. My wife sat there and watched the whole thing. Small hole, pulled out the tubes, cut and cauterized them and threw a bandaid on. The worst of it was jacking off into a cup and rushing it to lab to get tested. Banged the wife the day after.
I salute you sir. Two and I’m done.
It was 20 years ago so I don't remember exactly, but I think I was really sore for a day or 2 and a little sore for a week or so. I'd hold off on riding or anything too strenuous for about a month. If you're still having problems after 6 months, I'd think something has gone terribly wrong.
my wife was back riding within 2 weeks of mine, bro
make sure you get the non reversible kind where they cauterize both ends of the Vas or they can grow back together! i had mine done at Nellis AFB and it’s a teaching hospital so i had a gallery situation with three docs and about 10 others observing… wasn’t the coolest situation but i was on valium and really didn’t care… i was good to go in about 2 weeks!
