So is Mike Bonacci still at Clubmx or did he retire/move on?

I think on a weege show he said he is “retired” but never really retired.

Good for him but also a bit odd. He preached a lot how happy he was to not be tied to a brand or team and can freely speak his mind now.

That was more about NBC etc, than KTM.

Impressive resume, but his tenure at each job is a little suspect. Makes me wonder how long this one is going to last…

It is pretty clear that he was going to take the broadcasting job as far as possible through supercross and beyond into team sports. He made the move across country to make that happen. KTM...we all know what's going on there and budgets were cut back so his role was getting limited. He is an entrepreneur and has a ton of irons in the fire, so I wouldn't worry about tenure as much.

If you listen to the first episode of the Blair Matthes project he said he also had to watch what he had to say because of his position at KTM. He seemed to happy that he wasn't tied to any team or brand and could speak freely of any rider and team now.

Sarcasm attempt, or you really don't watch dirt bike racing?

"Personnel" I don't think so much.bBut "Management" and "Leadership" of the particular teams are regularly talked about during the racing.

You won't get through a single broadcast without the commentors talking about guys like Harrison, DeCoster, Brooks, Fahie, Payton, Coker, Hass/Bonacci, or Ramsey, etc... Often they put a camera and microphone in their faces for special interviews during the show...

So, yes, it will be interesting for some to see how Peacock/NBC handles this situation considering their history with Blair.

Gotta believe this is a good thing for Club.

Happy for DB too, dude wants to have a dog in the fight!

& Hass won't try and bust his balls about having a mediocre pro racing career, that's for sure!

🤣

Fair point I guess.

Can we find examples of where they have talked about the employment status of these people and not just interviewed these people about their riders/teams?

I'm sure they talked about Decoster moving to KTM years ago but I don't remember a lot of instances that they talk about Teams hiring/firing new personnel.

Not to mention, that word salad press release leaves more questions than answers about what the fuck his actual job is so I don't think they are going to try to explain it on the broadcast.

But hey, this is Vital and a bunch of dudes dicks get hard as fuck any chance they can talk shit on the broadcast so don't let me stop ya'll from running your mouths to try to make yourselves feel better.

Yes, lots to get through to find the meat of what he is going to be doing but it looks like this is it. And who knew an independent SX team has a COO?

"Daniel will work with the entire staff and all the members alongside Chief Operating Officer, Ben Graves. Starting with talent acquisition, Director of rider personnel, involvement in the training programs and camps, development of the new app and team partner relations. Those points alone are a full-time job but will also extend into marketing, social media and many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that go along with running a facility, media outlet and race teams. "

They are more than just the SX team. They are basically a college campus for dirtbikes.

He's probably a lot like the rest of us knuckleheads deep down. His passion just pulls him back in.

Seems like a good deal.  And I’m sure his son will be riding at the compound, which means he will still be able to focus on him.

Nothing like a paying job to adjust your priorities. That aside, it seems like a great position.

If you ask me, for his dream job he gave up prematurely. He got disrespected and he let it get the best of him. If he had gritted his teeth and stuck it out who knows maybe he would be the guy in a year or two. Ultimately he did what he thought was best and who’s to say it wasn’t. We’ve damn near all been there in one respect or another. Hopefully he’s happier now and the drama ends.

EXACTLY. Well said. His dad is a very cool guy btw. Used to see him at OTHG races sometime ago.

But... he needs to stop the musical chairs. One more move and the finger gets pointed at him...Squarely  IMO. )
