I'm no fan of Deegan, and I think 971 goes way overboard in defending the kid, however, in this case, I think he's right; he's making fun of the situation, not being let off easy.

Dude, think about it for a sec.. Do you really think The Deegans are going to sell official merchandise through an Etsy account? Everyone calm down, that is just someone having fun and printing silly unlicensed shirts that I suspect will be short lived. If you have never shopped on Etsy, is basically a storefront for folks that do printing and crafty type crap out of their basements, and many get away with copyright infringement.
I do not doubt that Deegan will at some point have some fun with merchandise from this, but it most definitely will not be sold through Etsy.

That is hilarious, I was stalking him (I do not do IG, but have an account) to validate what AH387 said. I didn't see him wearing that shirt until you pointed it out (thanks).
Color me wrong, I am still shocked with all of their $$ sponsors they would be side hustling anything that is not labeled as licensed or whatever, that seems like an odd gamble. I guess with "DNGR" being their own brand, it adds a gray and murky area, especially with Monster being on most of his merchandise.
I am not going to delete my post, I am fine admitting I was wrong, I can't be the only one that questioned the Etsy storefront when they literally have shopdeegan38.com as their official storefront.
The shirt Haiden is wearing is not the same shirt being sold on Etsy, they may not be related, but his sponsors may not be happy about his arrest or him making fun of it.

It's a slightly different shirt that he has on / is selling. The "official" one has DNGR over the eyes of the picture. I agree with what you said about the Etsy stuff and whatever. But I think most of the criticism is about them doing an official merch drop over the issue. It just comes off narcissistic, in my opinion. It's not hard to just say "sorry to my sponsors and fans" and it's not a big deal. But of course it has to be a merch drop. I get it that there are idiots that will buy it but that sort of plays into what I was saying about how every aspect of life is an ad. I dunno. In general I typically try to be positive about them but I just think the merch drop is tacky, but I'm also not shocked.
