You know. I have only read a few comments and was about to move on from this thread because I don't care about the Deegans and their arrogant ways of going about the sport. But you do have a point.

How many of us on here did things back in the day that could have killed us, and others, had they gone wrong. I am thinking 75% of us, and I’m being conservative.

“Unemployed” haha now that’s funny!

Hope they end up googling him.

Professional athlete should be an option there. Not like they never get arrested.

It was pretty hard to drive “reckless” in a 1992 Toyota Camry.

Ryan Dunn and Paul Walker had to learn the hard way.

Crazy how him being nice got him dismissed from getting charged for a fake id. Does he have to appear in court?

Yes, attitude goes a long way and he should have realized the break he got.  Instead he went home and started posting comedic cracks about it making it look like he thinks it's a joke.   Prosecutor's office might take that into consideration on down the road.

Non moto people in other comments are outraged that the fake ID felony was dropped, they are complaining to the sheriff and trying to get it reinstated. Claiming white privilege and double standards. Lol

He probably does realize it. He was respectful toward the officer and hasn’t said anything negative about it as far as I’m aware.

Time for a Father to step in. Don't be doing stupid shit, it puts you in a bad position. Which in this world is everything. Speaking from experience here.

He made a few social media posts joking and making light of the whole situation, displaying an attitude of not taking it seriously.

The internet: where all of God’s perfect little creatures judge one another and sound & look like complete ass holes as they do it. I mean, hell, we NEVER did shit like this when I was a kid… we were perfect little angels. Right?

As for “The Great Rental Car Era”…that was in the ‘80s…the ‘90s examples are cheap-not-deep-fakes by comparison. People like Hannah, Barnett…Chandler…even Ricky Ryan…the shit they got away with?! I mean…damn. There was this one time…at Unadilla…well, uh…never-mind.

Idk, my buddy had a ‘89 Camry he got from his great grandma and we would get pretty damn reckless in that thing lol

Not a fan of the Deegan antics (wish he would let his riding do the talking),but i can only laugh at this. He's 19 with a fast car. Hell my 1st car at 16 was a 72 Mach1 if anyone thinks I didn't do stupid shit is crazy. Favorite one was they used to paint a wildcat on the road in downtown Napoleon. We waited until after shift change (Sherifs office is half a block away) and then did donuts on the wildcat. Pretty funny but alot were mad about it. 😁

I remember a certain incident at Mid Ohio in maybe 81 where a Firebird rental racer was badly tweaked by trying to navigate an off road course they had for buggies and trucks. I can't remember who the wheel man was though.

that one time a buddy and I went tearing ass through the woods in a ragtop jeep in the middle of the night...we drove straight into a lake. Cops were called. Soooooooooo glad social media didn't exist.

I think this is the charge you get for doing a burnout also. So. Could be absolutely nothing.

That + a bad attitude = easy arrest from a petty bitter cop.

The farmer I worked for was 1 of 10 kids. I drove your car with a 4 sp when I was 10.  Along with a 4sp formula firbird, 429 Torino,  etc.  His pal had a gtx 440 6 pack wo that car screamed, my uncles had a shit ton of fast cars.  375 hp 396 chevelle , my favorite red 65 GTO 389 tri power , too many too list.  A neighbor had a 69 RT charger with a 440 . He would spin donuts in the  triangle 3 rds that come together.  We planted flowers in the triangle & had our 4h sign in it.  He tore it all to hell.  Haha.  Like Todd from bevus& butthead.

I know that in AZ 20 and over is a "criminal" charge. If not too much over depending on circumstances such as past record and drivers attitude the officer can reduce it to a non criminal violation .
