You'll see more in the video but they gave him a 3 minute slot to talk about his SupercrossU project and was told he can't do any commentary on the riders/qualifying. He said he didn't want to just show up and shill his product for 3 minutes and bounce.
There are dozens of us! Steele is the GOAT, can't change my mind.

I did too... until I heard the terrible job they delivered on WSX.

Fuck Ricky fuck lee fuck bondo.
And all you autists who called the blairs breakdown interaction "friendly banter" can apologize now
That story is in the video.
Yeah... FK Leigh Diffey. I like DB 10x more than Leigh. Hate to see him on the outside looking in now.
Wow, what a bunch of drama from Leigh and RC. Shows their insecurities.
holy shit what a bad look for RC, Diffey and NBC.
FREE DANIEL BLAIR!
Is it amazing that were getting all this information from a vital forum, from 9-5 workers.
Not from the dedicated, professional, full time media members at established media outlets. (Racer X, MXA, Vital MX, Transworld, Pulp MX, etc.)
This forum has 7k+ views and 5 pages in 9 hours. Significant engagement.
Has any motocross journalist even acknowledged this yet?
Say what you want about Vital and "Vitard" etc, but established moto media glaring weakness continues to be anything truly controversial.
They are being outshined by the regular Joe. People who are currently on their phone at a job site or from a cubical.
Bear in mind that this incident occurred 12+ months ago. The first in depth person to touch it was Gypsy, one month ago.
Leigh Diffey (spelling, but who cares after how he treated Daniel) is an embarrassing shell of a human
I always assumed RC was a cunt. DB just removed all doubt.
so the whole broadcast is basically built around keeping RC's feeling happy and RC is so stupid he can't handle a question being phrased differently.
Don't forget that a random comment saying Todd Harris is cool broke Diffey's brain.
I don’t understand—was all this just because they only gave him three minutes to talk about his product? I was expecting something much bigger, even a real scandal.
I get that he’s upset, but in business, decisions are made that not everyone agrees with.
At the end of the day, they have their key figures—the ones who keep the sponsors happy. If he caused friction within that group, it’s no surprise they let him go. It’s a shame because he did a great job covering the races, but these things happen.
This post made me think of something I hadn't yet. Not only does RC have the racing resume, he's also still on the Monster pay roll. Dude ain't going anywhere until he decides to.
what happened this weekend was more so the dam breaking, or the straw that broke the camels back.
I'll be watching on MUTE unless Weege is in the booth from now on. Bravo DB.
Pit Row
Ironic how people at the top have such fragile egos.
We are the customers.
Blair was indeed screwed at every turn.
I doubt few of us haven't been back stabbed in our professions.
And like those of us that have, he realizes that there's nothing that can be done about it, other than move on.
Lessons learned.
Years ago I had a neighbor, a beautiful young lady who was the 2nd string weather girl at a local NBC affiliate.
She told the same type of stories about professional jealousy, behind the scenes political bullshit.
She finally left, and is now a top rated meteorologist in a major market.
Success is the best revenge.
Blair will be successful at whatever he undertakes.
And someone tell that fucking diffey to drop the kickstart kenny bullshit.
It's beyond worn out.
Edit:
Unfortunately We're stuck with who we have to listen to in the booth.
And I seriously hope that we don't hear about JS7 being involved in any of this.
Doesn't matter how "small" this last issue was. It was a continuation of corporate nonsense, people who know nothing making decisions, and Daniel always trying to take the high road.
Some guys, myself included, are just not built to work at a high level in the corporate world, because more often than not takes a level of self-serving and backstabbing to actually rise to where you THINK you want to be. Daniel wasn't ready to play that game, and good for him.
Obviously there were consequences, and unfortunately this too will probably get brushed under the rug in a few days and the usual players will continue doing a poor job in a role they shouldn't be in. Welcome to the corporate world lol.
The clip that DB is referring to in his video is here. I timestamped the link, but if it doesn't work, it starts at 12:30 and goes for about ~30 seconds.
Powerhouse Yamaha out of Paso Robles too. He and his brother.
Denny Stephenson was good also.
How long until that Blair's Breakdown is taken down?
Interesting to see if RC will do an interview and attempt some damage control.
It's also clear to me that in that video above RC is not playing - he doesn't like DB. I understand RC is competitive .... and he's losing to DB in the broadcast game. Rather then blend in he did what he could to Vince Freeze DB. Not cool.
Curious how NBC/RC will respond to this.....
If RC never was the GOAT he wouldn’t have the job.
RC is awful. Loved the guy on a bike but after all this he sucks.
The best move is to not acknowledge it, which I'm sure they will do. We all get to hear the story and watch the video but NBC has millions of viewers, no shot they broadcast this to the masses. RC is an insane competitor, that's why he is the GOAT, but I guess we shouldn't be surprised that he's still a wicked competitor in the current thing that's paying his bills. It makes me think less of him, being this petty and all, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Makes me wish there was a way to order Peacock with zero commentary.
