All of us here at NCY & ECC love & wish the best for Billy!
Get some Lano!
After Robbie Reynard retired I became a big Billy fan.
I watched Billy grow from a little grom at Barona Oaks into a race winner back when I worked with the Geico Honda team, and the whole time Billy never changed a bit. Even at the height of his career, he was just a super humbled kid that felt lucky to ride dirt bikes for a living. I bet there isn’t a single person out there that could come up with one bad thing to say about Billy. He sure gives me someone to cheer for every time I see him on the track.
He always reminded me a little of Val Kilmer. Great rider and I root for him every race!
Met Billy recently at Fox Raceway. Even with me being an old guy, he was extremely friendly and genuinely wanted to sit and talk. He has me on the edge of the seat every race rooting for a direct transfer to the main. He still gets through the whoops better than many of the young guys.
I just watched it, thanks for sharing!!
I have been a fan since the early KTM days.

Big fan of his👍
Never have read or heard anything derogatory about Billy, always seemed like a good guy who loved racing dirt bikes! Pretty cool that he still has what it takes to qualify for a main in a pro supercross!
Fun lil fact...I made the carbon on that KTM and the skid plate on his current SLR bike. Can't believe the dude is still at it
That was a good watch!
Great video !
Yep. I've been a fan since his then-riding coach and I took him to Competition Park on his '85, then later when he moved up to 125s and could already smoke me in the Intermediate class. I was stoked to see him turn pro, and all of us from the same hometown were thrilled when he took his first SX win.
...And just as you say, I've never heard anybody have a bad opinion about the man.
Been a fan of Billy’s for 20+ years. I have a pack of trading cards that the Factory Connection team put out when he rode for them. If someone could have him get in touch with me I’d like to see if he’d like me to send them to him. Thanks.

Question: Since he qualified for the triple crown night show at Glendale and finished all 3 races, does that officially make him the oldest rider to qualify for a Main event?
This is bad ass. I’m sure you can contact him on any form or social media he has or reach out to whatever main sponsors he has to get in touch with him.
Awesome video!
Thanks jmo. Unfortunately I don’t use any social media. 😱
Great video, awesome story, thanks for sharing!
Man I used to love NCY back in the 90's. Had full graphics kit on my 95 YZ125 and Extreme Gear NCY logo'd too. Cant remember the guys name that worked with me. He gave me quite a discount on the shop rider program back in the day. Y'all were always great to work with!!
Really awesome what he is doing these days, and succeeding at it! Boggles the mind. He has results as far back as 2002 in SX.
I worked there at that time and it was probably Jim, Kendall or Grinny that helped you with that stuff. I still ride with Jim, the original owner, pretty regularly. That was such a great era, and Billy was always one of our favorites to be involved with.
The name Grinny sounds familiar. I know whoever it was left to go work for a different place about 96 or so. Nice guy to work with tho.
Gotta share my Billy story. I've known of Billy since back in the day and like many, I have marveled at his style. So fun to watch his fluidness!
Finally got to meet him this year through FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). Feld allows us to put on an event at select SX per year, where we bring in about 100 people to the stadium before it opens to the public for some exclusive behind the scenes action. At the end of our event, we have a Meet and Greet with a Special Guest. 2025 was the first year that we held an event in California, at the San Diego SX. Being Texas based, I reached out to Billy for recommendation on who to line up as a Special Guest to share their faith and some of their moto experiences with our group. Billy was super excited that I reached out to him and gave me some great contacts for that. He even offered himself as the guest. We make it a point not to have racers from the event, because its literally right before practice and we don't want to interfere with their routines. He still offered to show up, knowing it would be difficult to fit in. Would have loved to have him, but I told him no, we want you to keep your routine and focus.
We have a great guest and the event went well. As many of you know, Billy crashed in practice and was pretty banged up. I went to go visit him in the pits and was amazed how long the line was of people waiting to talk to him! After talking to him we discovered that he thought he might have a busted rib and was really sore. He stayed out there until the last person had an opportunity to talk to him. What a guy!
I was at the race that Billy won, screaming my heart out for him, and also cringing as his and his entire teams pants were sliding down (because of a design error I made).
Was as thrilled as I get over his win.
Wrote a ride.race.live. ad celebrating it, one of my best in the series. If anyone has it, please post it up.

Here are 2 photos of the cards I have. I have not heard from anyone that knows how to get in touch with him.
