Yep. I've been a fan since his then-riding coach and I took him to Competition Park on his '85, then later when he moved up to 125s and could already smoke me in the Intermediate class. I was stoked to see him turn pro, and all of us from the same hometown were thrilled when he took his first SX win. ...And just as you say, I've never heard anybody have a bad opinion about the man.
