Everybody freaking out about costs, its everywhere. My neighbors 12 year old plays competitive softball, he just paid $7k to register her for next year. Best times I remember are the times I had with my parents racing in the NE, still laugh about them 20 years later. Spent a ton of money (theirs and mine) Now 36 with a 3YO myself, we drive a ton racing BMX, and seeing him have fun is worth every damn penny.

Keep in mind the guy on the Maico is really fast. He's raced LL 25 times and has many top ten finishes. He qualifies on his modern bike and beats a lot of really fast guys to make it in. Then has chosen to race the Maico there for a few years now and does respectable on that. The costs involved are what kept me away until I was older. I simply could not afford the costs and time off work to even try to qualify. Yes it's expensive, but as others have stated it's in line or less expensive...

I'm a 50+ intermediate and seeing Darkside and that dude on the Maico this year got me wondering if maybe, just maybe.....#bucketlist ?????? But I snapped out of it pretty quick when I started thinking about logistics and costs. Good on ya if you can make it happen but on principle alone I don't think I could pay $878 for the "privilege" of driving a small vehicle like a Metris onto a property and parking in the woods. Good info! I emailed Factory Connection about getting the suspension setup and the linkage. I was looking into the Tokyo Mods Vortex ECU, but think I may go with the GET even though its a little more. I haven't even ridden it yet and looking at the options! 🤣 I already bought the Luxon engine mounts. They arrived in two days! I know they probably won't offer any advantage to me, but they look really cool! Looking forward to running into you at the track! Jamie

Congrats! Beautiful bike! Price means nothing, you can't put a price on what makes you happy. I honestly can't remember what I paid for the last 10 450's that I've bought over the years. If you got what you wanted, that's all that matters. Enjoy it 👍

Same here. The time spent in the van driving to races all over the East coast was the best. Our last trip to The Ranch was in 2021, right before he went to college. He has since graduated and started his career. He texted last week and told me how much he missed the road trips and racing that we did over the years. I never added up the costs for the week(s) (or racing for that matter), but I would gladly pay double to do it all again with him.

Aden not having the proper paperwork is your assumption. Keefer stated two other riders who have been pros several years not getting paid, they haven't done the paperwork either? Why would Aden's parents mention him and others not getting paid if Aden didn't fill out the proper paperwork? Surely his parents would know that. And his sponsors for that matter. And no, if his paperwork isn't filled out to pay him, I think there would be legal issues to allow him to enter a professional event. The point of entering a pro event is to get paid to participate.
