Mine is 247. From my football numbers of 24 in high school and 47 in pop warner.
#199
I had this number back in the 70/80’s in bmx so stayed with it when I could. People would always say “ oh, you have Pastrana‘s number” I’m like “ no he has mine”😆
2 - I have no idea why ('83ish)
9 - Ron Lechien ('87)
229 - Assigned by TCCRA ('88)
23 - Michael Jordan ('89)
35 - Assigned at Loretta Lynn's ('90)
351 - Wanted a 3 digit number ('01)
356 - Combination of my 35 and Dad's 56 after he passed ('15)
I took the number plates off my bike because someone recently started a thread on them not being necessary anymore...
I love VItal.

#90 (my son was born 1990)
#29 (my granddaughter was born February 9th)
522. Marty Smith. First big star of US Moto
214, it was my grandfather's address. He used to play it in the lottery all the time. Been running it since 2000.
122 - I wore #12 in baseball and #22 in football.
I've had a lot of numbers over the last 50 years but the only one I go back to is #104. I first ran it in 1978 on my 76 RM250 and 74 TM125 because DeCoster was my idol and rode Suzukis. He wore it a couple years during the Trans-AMAs. Always thought it looked good on his Factory Suzukis.
Then I skipped a about 30 years and went back to it in 2012 on my 2011 RMZ450.
Was #3 when i played baseball (partially because the lower numbers were the smaller jerseys)
#56 was my best number from BMX
so i made 356
BTW, anyone know which graphics companies sell these bubble-type vintage number fonts from 1977-1981? I’ve seen a few, but they aren’t quite the same shape I remember from that era…

444
I was born at 4:44 and it also is an angel number that is know to represent clarity, stability, and decisiveness.
Kinda silly but has a lot of meaning behind it for me.
616. My oldest son's birthday- unfortunately I run that number because he passed in '22 at 16 years old. Now he's always riding/racing with me.
Ever hv a conversation with a few people & there talking about birth dates ? I ask what time where u born. Very few people know. Ever hv a big name pro run your # ? Steve Bonaface ran 531 on the cr125 .
When he passed a few pics with that number came out. I like it but like 532 better. 532 is on most semi trailers too but like 532095 . I never look at a riders number while racing. I just c a rider & a bike. Unless it’s a big race across state lines . Then I,m lookin for him. I can’t get away from winter storms . IL. Snow & Mo. Real bad now . High winds -30 with wind chill 8 inches.
Was 88...year I was born.
Was taken in my local series so now 688

I was always number 33 because I was to broke to buy graphics and Factory Effex had a special for like half price if you let them pick your number. Then later in life I went to 66, my birth year.

315, the time I’d get out of school and get to go riding.
When I started with CMC back in the early 90's I wanted a 2 digit number so they let me have 07, then the following year more guys wanted a number that started with 0 so he gave me #70 and told everyone else no more numbers that started with zero. I have been 70 ever since (Yes even before RC and KR had it). It does look good on Prada's KX too.
I took the artwork that Honda made for the swingarm graphics (250R) and repurposed them for numbers. Something different I guess.
Wouldn't let me imbed on my last post. Here is my current bike a SXF 350. I love F1. I found these Martini Racing graphics. Thought they would look good on my new Acerbis white plastic. And of course the DeCoster inspired #104 continues.
My First year racing in 1991 I ran 45. Changed it to 44 in 1995 when I got my YZ125/250 combos. Stuck with it ever since. No particular reason , other than it fit on the plates pretty easy. lol
When I moved up to big bike I wanted 221, but my brother couldn't race anymore so I got to choose his number 281. Since he couldn't race anymore it made it cool to honor his number. Once I got to A class I couldn't use 281, someone already had it. So I went with another number to be similar...391. Been that # ever since.
8 was on bike 74 Hodaka Super Rat
31 no Idea
311 Only had to add a 1
117 AMA
127 because 117 got used as the AMA dropped that system been 127 ever since
#27 for me. Dad had a buddy who raced and he decided to get me into it. Was 1991 and my dads friend raced a CR500 in the B class with the yellow backgrounds. Just remember being 7 years old seeing that CR500 looking mint with the #27 on it. Been 27 since.
528 - combination of my kids birthdays
Ex: if kid 1 was January 10th and kid 2 was February 20th, my number would be 330
First time I’ve ever had a number that meant anything to me, every other number I’ve had I just thought looked cool
In baseball my # was always 10 or 11.
But when I started to get really into moto I gravitated to 181 because I had a 1981 K5 blazer.
Then I decided on 761 in honor of my pops who passed away but was born in July 1961.
Workin’ 9-2-5, what a way to make a living!
