The landscape of the past decade is entirely different if AC and even Forkner progressed through as they should have alongside Roczen not getting hurt. We should just enjoy every top guy that's out there at any given race because it's not a given
I don't see many comeback well after a ACL replacement, gym work is so important to get the knee strong again, my riding suffered after my first one.
he'll keep his focus MXoN to defend the title with Australia and not end the season without any title 🤨
They were comparing Sexton's stats with Mike Bell ( i think) after 65 Premier class starts.
Crazy to think he is in his 5th year in the class and Forkner is still in 250
And Kenny, without his injury could have been a 5 time champ. Or not won any.
always so many 'ifs'

You don't? You talking about mere mortals like us or superheroes like Jett? RC, Bubba, RV. All did there ACL. RV multiple times
Edit: I think you meant how quickly they recover? But again, these dudes are different and have access to the best of the best with surgeons and physical therapy
God damn you. You just reminded me about Jett vs Eli at Daytona. FUUUUUUUCK
Tore my first ACL at Ponca in 1979. Came back in ‘80 and had a decent year. But ‘81 was my best year of racing. In ‘82 I tore my second ACL and it was downhill from there. The rehab sucked, and my drive and motivation took a huge hit. Raced in ‘83 but that was my last year and it was far less successful.
Fortunately, the repairs today are light years better than what I dealt with. He’ll be fine for racing later in the season. Probably mid way through MX.
And that's why 72 is such a monster number.
Because at Round 2 Stew got hurt in practice and missed a majority of the SX season.
Yeah but that one shoulder injury robbed us of what might have been the best mxdn team ever assembled. RC, JS, RV. Would love to have seen RC vs Everts that day!
Seems right to me. I had mine at about that time and I remember RV (went to Colorado for it right) up and walking like the day of surgery. He posted a video of it from the surgery place. Hell my quads didn't even fire for a few days.
I remember thinking shit must be nice to have the best health care. Still feel like that as I'm awaiting clearance from the fuckers for an elbow fix damn it!!lol
That really sucks ! Wish him a fast & speedy recovery.
The champ will be back.
They mentioned it on Pulp last night but sounds like Jett is going to the guy in Tennessee that repairs the ACL instead of replacing it. Christian Craig went there and I believe will be back for Tampa so less than 4 months.
It looks like they basically for lack of a better comparison wrap a tampon type thing around each of the ACL that's filled with their own blood and it lets the ACL heal itself. The whole reason an ACL doesn't heal vs the other ligaments is there is no blood inside the knee, no blood equals no healing. The majority of the rehab for an ACL repair is strengthening where they took the donor ligament from which isn't the case with this technique.
I might be totally wrong but they mentioned a doctor that "wraps the ACL" on the show so I'm just guessing its this procedure.
I hear the argument of.. well staying healthy is apart of the deal.. and I get it. However, lets not kid ourselves. Whoever ends up winning the SX and/or possibly the MX championship will have everyone in the back of their mind saying, "Yea, but Jett". Please reference Reed's '04 & '08 SX titles (yea, but RC and James). Or Langston's '07 MX title (yea, but James). Or most recently Sexton's '23 SX and '24 MX title (yea, but Eli and Jett).

2 of the top 3 title contenders crashed out and handed Sexton the #1 plate. Tomac was well on his way to winning Denver and sealing the deal to be able to ride around at the final round. In this years case. Its so early and there's plenty of racing left to go.
Tomac didn't crash out. That was bad luck and very fortunate for Sexton.
Webb crashed out, but he was only in front of Sexton in points because Sexton had crashed out. So they both made mistakes but at the end Sexton had more points. So . . .
Kenny got hurt at round three that year, just assuming he would have won that title and others afterward is foolish and seems like wishful thinking.
Did something similar a couple weeks go out on the KLX. Didnt realize I was in a rut due to leaves on the trail, went to turn left and bike just laid over. Dabbed a leg and ended up pogo sticking off the bike. Luckily I didnt tear anything but judging by the instability in my knee I had to have been damn close. Wasnt riding hard, wasnt doing anything crazy, just had a moment where I wasnt expecting the bike to do what it did and tried to save it and my knee took the brunt of the mistake. Luckily I should be back riding in a couple of weeks.
Pit Row
With Prado, and the way tomac is riding, (and sexton) he has absolutely no shot at a perfect season
Just when you think you’re potentially watching the greatest Supercross season ever, she smacks you across the face as a reminder.
This sucks so bad...huge loss for the field.
If I'm Tomac I'm doing 200 starts a day from now until next weekend. lol The way he's riding, it's genuinely his title to lose. I know Sexton and Webb, and even Roczen will have something to say about that, but he's shown that if he starts in the top 5 he's nearly unstoppable.
You BROS and your technicalities... Yeah he didn't "crash" but still got injured...so he crashed out. wtf else do you call it?
Why?? It's not like Jett was dominating before he went out, dude got beat straight up the majority of races and he never lead the points before getting hurt
And if that's the game we're gonna play then Jett has an asterisk next to every 450 championship he's won. Didn't have to face the defending champ in 2023 MX (or most of the other top riders for that matter) and won 2024 SX with Tomac coming off injury, Webb tearing his thumb, Chase on a new bike, etc.
What 450 title has Jett actually won with a healthy field of top riders?
I'm sorry, did you just say he didn't crash out so he crashed out? lol
I was more responding to those that continue to say Sexton got a gift from Webb, he didn't. Webb's crashes just came later in the series than Sexton's.
Yeah, we want them attempting the undoable, but then sometimes it's the easy ones that cause the injuries.
Here is RV 2012 Seattle SX, 1min in a simple slideout causes knee injury.
Don't you just love the condescending "supreme know-it-alls" around here? A couple of these guys have their noses so high in the air, it's laughable.
Chase knows the truth.
His riding style has been permenantley compromised. He's a totally different rider. To the point where he was an outdoors guy before but now doesn't even like it
This is sarcasm, right?
Bummed for Jett, and for any rider injured in his prime.
Yup, Chase knows he's a true champion despite what dipshit opinions are out there.
It's a fact that he's a champion while it's your opinion that his championship is somehow not as great as others.
Don't you just love the passive aggressive trolls that have to put their two cents into every thread because they just like to hear their own voice?
