Most of those people retirees can depend upon them for dividends or retirement income. Many of those people you list made ordinary citizens millionaires, especially Buffett and Bezos. I know people that those two helped make millionaires. KTM, it is entirely different. KTM is a deadbeat. Your comparison holds no water, you don't know what you are talking about.

Bezos, LOL, you don't know what you are talking about, how well does Amazon treat it's employees!

Nice, the old oppressed/oppresser narrative. A real call back to the 60s. How fucking over done. None of Bezos employees have to work for him, they can get other jobs if they are so abused. And who do you want to make things "fair" or "safe" or any other thing you've been told exists that really doesn't, who decides that? You? You are that wise? You did just question how Amazon treats their employees, so obviously you feel you know "fairness", how many do you employ, how many square feet of warehouse space do you rent, or semis that you run, how many millions of commerce run through you? How much a year do you spend on just fuel tax compared to Amazon? What is your contribution that gives you the right to criticize others, honest question? You probably make more money than 90% of people in the world, yet obviously you ride a dirt bike, why is that fair? You didn't earn your money to buy a dirt bike fairly either, there are many third world people who work harder than you, with so much of the world oppressed, there are starving children everywhere, where is your shame? Why can you have a cell phone or microwave when so much of the world doesn't? And how about all the millionaires Bezos made, the independents making money off him, the retirees living off his stock. How many millionaires have you made, how many retirees live off your stock, how many employees do you have, how much diesel do you buy a year? The whole bullshit that success is a oneway street is proven wrong again and again, your hippy bullshit of someone succeeding is a zero sum game is passe. Just imagine all the home bound seniors without drivers licenses who depend on him, or loser 20 somethings without drivers licenses too that need Amazon for deliveries. Imagine a world without Amazon, the people who say life is so " unfair" would lose the most. The thing about your whole oppressed/oppresser bullshit is it is easy to spout bullshit platitudes about how someone else or the system is so "unfair" to make yourself feel all high and mighty, but it is just words, and most who spout this shit do nothing to hire or engage in commerce let alone acknowledge the cruel fact no matter who succeeds in this world there will always be underachievers who eke by and some feel deserve pity, basically because the only thing they can contribute to society is opinion. You can never change that, losers always bitch about winners. Sorry to run on, sore point....

Fairness and safety don’t exist or are so mysterious that nobody can say what they are? Are you serious? Anyone with even minimal moral sense is quite well qualified to define these concepts and recognize blatant violations of them - the idea that being ultra wealthy is necessary is utterly ridiculous.

Amazon has been after me for years to run their data centers and I keep saying no. Money isn't everything,

Amazon is a sweat shop and meat grinder? You mean like the slaves building V2 rockets for the Germans during World War 2 or the Uyghur people in China today? That’s what you are comparing Amazon to?

How does the existence of other unjust, unfair, or otherwise negative circumstances justify not giving people bathroom breaks? Is the fallacy here really not obvious?

I’m really not sure what you’re saying here, I’ve no doubt that some unjust, unfair, or otherwise negative circumstances are not sweat shops or meat grinders, but I take it that sweat shops and meat grinders are generally unfair, unjust, and negative. Why would we be using such terms if not to claim that such moral descriptions are apt? There’s several separate issues here: Are sweat shops bad? Surely it’s not a stretch to say yes. Even if they’re bad, are they sometimes justified? This is largely a meta-ethical question  - eg you may think a consequentialist moral theory is correct and that the good produced outweighs the negative. Not everyone accepts consequentialist ethics and will argue that it’s never ok to exploit people, regardless of how much good comes out of it. I’m not going to try to settle that here;rather, I’ll just point out that it’s a point at which people will disagree. In addition to these questions of value, there are questions of fact: what actually goes on at these places?

Nothing I’ve said above leaves room for saying: it’s fine because others do worse. We don’t accept when our kids say “but so and so did something worse than I did” and we shouldn’t accept it from anyone else either.

The other thing is pay your bills! These sloped head college students who won't pay back their loans and want a free ride, how different is KTM, or not worse? I can't sleep nights if I owe money, what is with these people.

Because truckers making 120.00 a day can pay for the rich kids college.  Millions to pay in severance wages ? The rest of the world gets don’t let the door hit you in the azz.  Co.s out here going bankrupt like never b4. The co. Shut the fuel card off & your told take the truck to the nearest dealership. Find your own way home. I would run it in the direction of home until I ran out of fuel . Then let it sit in the rd.drivers r doing this . It’s been soo bad out here since Feb 2021.  But since thx giving Wow just unbelievable.  I swear the laziest people in the world had to be included in my days.  Jan 31 st & made nothing this yr.  Just total bs of lazy idiots to Fuck up every day .  Ukraine dispatcher Wow I was going to tell the boss to fire him . Sit trying to keep motivated waiting because there is no freight.  And he won’t jump on cheap 1.30 shit.  Last second pu that go into white out storms all winter.  1st winter ever where I know that I will die in it.  All the rest of my pals from the 80,s r dead.  Dispatchers r a dime a dozen but he,s part owner. I can here the fear in his voice when states ld info.  Me I say there’s a 200 mi lake effect storm in Mi. Not thrilled to go die & get stranded for 2 days again with no pay. We got into it lately 1,170 , 1,200 what the fuck is this 1971.  Massive pile  of shit to beat the fuck out of ya. -48 with wind chill & I hv to hit the engine 4-5 times with starting fluid because dumb fuck Mexican shop doesn’t know how to change a fuel filter .  Massive oil leak blowing oil all ovr the exhaust, shocks all blown , seat, door fucked up cold blowing in , I could go on forever.  Fuckin cheap Jewish Eastern Europeans there sooo dangerous.  I,m 3 inches shorter in the 1st 2 yrs of Russian Chicago shit.  Since last Thursday-15 bunk heater stops working. Wake up & your body feels like it’s being burnt by acid vinegar.  I really start loosing it freezing I my sleep. 12-29-2030 to feb 18 shorted 39,900 . 40+ hr days 7 days a week iL. Labor dept says you don’t hv any rights to get paid.  Dead azz economy now no freight so there’s no 40+ hr days.  Just a fight to get a rare load to run all nighters in winter storms.  Rt now there is aprox 3 mil drivers leaving the industry but there is Not much out there.  Massive layoffs coming in the next few months.  Cheap dryer 3rd cycle to dry. I walked a 1/2 mi from petro to a pilot because the washers r bigger.  To save 3 bucks on another washer .  Being super poor is weird . Keep pushing to make nothing. Thursday 03.45 am get up I felt puke gonna explode I get tge door open . I,m thinking try to puke so you don’t puke your oatmeal up.  That’s bad . Puke then slam the broken door shut . I look & my clean jeans 1st day wearing them we wear them a few days until there covered in grime & grease. And I hv puke on my leg. It’s all acid from muscle fatigue. I took off but we couldn’t get out because the hiaty & African drivers parked in the middle of the driveway. Common out here last sun night a black driver got hit soo hard parked the inner fender was tore off & his radiator.  I asked him you ok ? He said yeah I,m not hurt .  I said no mentally.  He said I would like to shove my blade in the African. And pulled his switch blade .  We always hv a knife on us now. We talked for a while I explained on how mentally to survive out here.  It’s 100 % a 3rd world country now.

I’m not going to derail this thread further with tangents into moral assessments of Amazon or things of that sort. But yeah, I’ll agree that Pierer paying himself a big dividend while running out of money to pay workers is a scumbag move.

My local dealer put up similar prices to what they had in December on 2024s. I have not seen a Munns email yet to see where they are at. It looks like more than $750 to me unless dealers are going in $750 plus most of the margin just to get them out the door.

I'm sure you've heard life isn't fair before. And nobody said life had to be easy. So say Bezos is evil and runs "sweat shops", why do people work for him? Shut him down, where do they work then? Who do the retirees who depend on Amazon stock have? I own a business, I know many people who own businesses. We all pay well and offer benefits, more than Amazon. Yet can get no employees. When a new Walmart opens though, they get applicants around the block, because it is mindless, easy work with no responsibility. That's the dirty little secret that everyone knows but nobody says out loud, especially the oppressed/oppresser narrative people, that people who have shitty jobs for extended periods of time in this country are most times lazy.

It sounds like you recognize the value your employees create for you as a business owner. That’s all anyone can ask of an employer.

Getting back on topic, you and I seem to agree that Pierer doesn’t recognize the value of his employees and has a severely overinflated sense of his own worth.

What appears on the outside isn’t always the same on the backside. Sometimes the illusion appears real, but not always the case. Bottom line is they are broke.

I also found mention of this in several other places including Bloomberg. Uncertain times for KTM no doubt. Still a little thrown off by zero mention of this during any supercross broadcast. The brand has a chance (I'm not sure how much) of going away. Yet the race team and the media just ignore it. Weird....

For real.  In any other motorsport they would definitely be talking about it at the races.  Will be interesting to see what happens when MotoGP starts up soon but that I think will be after the meeting on the 25th.

To be fair we have no idea how much debt this creditor owns. They are one of thousands of creditors I believe and could be using this as a strong arm tactic to sow discontent leading up to the final meeting

Absolutely, but it definitely paints a picture. If I owed you $100, would you contently settle for $30? Granted you might only get $7 if things go badly, but the point is you loaned me money and now I refuse to even respond to your attempts to offer a "fair" settlement. I'd say fuck off too if I was the creditor. Wish borrowing money worked like this for the little man....sadly my creditors want all of their money back....

I also found mention of this in several other places including Bloomberg. Uncertain times for KTM no doubt. Still a little thrown off by zero mention of this during any supercross broadcast. The brand has a chance (I'm not sure how much) of going away. Yet the race team and the media just ignore it. Weird....

You didn’t hear everything in NA is great it’s in the budget

If anyone is sowing discontent among the creditors it’s Pierer with his lack of disclosure , lack of action and insulting offers.

Whole bicycle side now closed down in Nordic EU countries I guess in other parts of world also and guys are without jobs. Still no sales on motorbikes like US and southern Europe having they are keeping tight on prices as long as they can it seems.

Network-wide rebates until April 30th in various European countries.

From 700 to 3000€ rebates for pretty much the entire range of 2024 models and/or 2025 models.

-1500 € for the entire motocross range, -1000€ for enduro range

For instance in some countries 2025 450SXF is now 10 850€.

Deals vary from one country to another and some EU countries do not seem to carry such offers at all, sorry can't upload picture.

Seems those Power Deals are just for some limited countries like Estonia/Finland KTM 2025 125sx 10350e vs Italy 8490e for just same bike.

Anyway -1000e off gets 450 sxf to same level as Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki list prices are so not really crazy deals but right direction.
