I’m not keen on this new trend of tapered front number plates that expose the lower triple clamp and upper fork tube to roost. It’s much better when front plates cover this up more. The triumph is the same.

I do prefer the Ducati over the Triumph.

Show me a production bike over the last 15 years that covers the lower triple clamps.  This isn't exactly a new trend

current KTM and Husky have wings covering lower triples, not sure about Gas Gas

I'd go with this in the blink of an eye.

They're precisely NOT styling it their own way. Street Ducatis bring a very strong brand personality. Not their MX Bike.

Same goes for Triumph.

I'm more interested in the engine than anything. Will the powerplant be special like their road going bikes or is it a clone of what everyone else does other than Yamaha?

Look at the dot matrix on the shroud and tip of front fender. Its supposed to look like it starts that pinkish orange color then fades to red. My guess is it has something to do with the ppg spray paint sponsorship.

Black swingarms are ugly. Those hubs are a horrible color. The rest is fine. No, better than fine, quite good.

No contest with that beautiful Suzuki though!

I mean you’ve never said one positive thing about anything on this site so this isn’t surprising take from you.

Can we all assume the hubs are just "what they had" from overseas based on the Monster Energy branded bikes...because they look awful.  I would be VERY surprised to see those color hubs on TLD team bikes in the future.  For reals though, change the hubs/gas cap and that is a completely different (in a MUCH better way) looking motorcycle.

I haven`t seen those hubs before even if Cairoli`s bike was sponsored by Monster Energy. It didn`t have a completely black swingarm either, just black decals.

Someone already posted it’s a color way they already use.

It’s not even close to the monster color way either.

Cannot stand the lines and looks of the actual plastics. Front fender is so big, shrouds look like something I’d imagine on an adventure bike or motard, and then rear number plates look like an afterthought when they realized they needed them.

Also, where’s the “just a Honda with different engine” like the “KTM with aluminum frame” comments about Triumph?🤔

I know the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini is close to that color, maybe more bikes, I don`t know.

I do get a bit of heavy pig vibes when looking at it. It looks a bit too big and heavy to me

That appears to be the color they were going for IMO.

I think it’s a fine looking bike. The front fender is different and growing on me.  Everyone clamors for something different and when we get it it’s gets slammed.

When the new gen yz came out people slammed the front fender, now crickets.  Go look at the previous gen fender now and it looks huge and hideous (imo)

Honda was slammed for the new shroud design etc.  people hate change until they get used to it.

Reminds me of a cosmetically restyled 2006 YZ450F (with no cam plugs in the head) using 2009 KTM rear panels.

When I look at a brand new bike, it’s not the hub color or gas cap color, graphics or even fork guard colors that I look at…. It’s the frame, seat shape and integration, how the motor looks in the cradle, the shape and style of the plastics, etc that I look at.

And I like the look of the Ducati.  A quick change of a few accessories to black or red and yes, a better looking front number plate and it’s a great looking bike.

On a side note, I expected the motor to look big with the desmo head, but at some angles I get a Maico 501 vibe in a modern sort of way…

Just my 2 cents, it really could use some spoke skins and to route the front brake line on the outside of the fork.

So much so that word is that Kong refused to climb it.

Glad someone else noticed it... and in this day of cams and valves, that's saying something.

The desmo head is massive.

Still the best looking bike of all time.

...and one more for good measure.

Curious how they will handle valve adjustments. Street bikes have proprietary tools they won't sell to just anyone. Must take to dealership or specific certified shop...

This hasn't been said enough yet. The Ducati company makes it nearly impossible to do even basic maintenance to a motorcycle without special dealer tools and software. Once took in a Ducati just to change headlight bulbs.......big mistake.

I love the look, minus the graphics.
