Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Mitch Payton is not going to have anything to do with this. Next up, Liberia on a Wednesday night....
Sure seems like every time they’ve announced anything to do with a schedule or venues this early, rounds get cancelled. They waited until June to release the 24 sites and that seemed to go well enough, but releasing the identities of these venues makes me worried that there’ll be some changes before those races are actually run.
I've been thinking about this as well since Tomac has already said he's racing SX, MX and SMX next year. Add a likely MXoN and then WSX... That would be a wild year! But surely WSX camp wants the reigning champ to return. I'm picturing a large paycheck to come Eli's way. Not mad about that!
Yeah, AMA Supercross hasn’t had any ownership debacles 🙄

100% this
Also the reason it's called a world championship, it's actually visiting different countries and continents, that's the point.
America don't be selfish, share some of your top AMA riders with the rest of the world, and let them get some preparation races and make some extra dough.
Totally unlike the Supermotocross World Championship of course...
It seems to me like they've at least stabilised this year. Mostly good venues, with full sized tracks. Reasonable TV package etc.
There's always talk of riders wanting to be supercross only. If/when WSX becomes an firmly established series it could be a viable option for some guys - AMA SX in winter/spring, break over summer, boot camp & testing late summer and autumn, into WSX through Autumn with a small break over Xmas and straight into AMA SX again.
Guys could make good money racing SX only and avoid sitting out half the year.
I follow SX/MX and MXGP... of course I bought the streaming package for the DesNations weekend, I couldn't care less about WSX. Seems like the the high end department store who bring in a superstar every now and then so the local fans can see them live... i.e more branding than a competitive sport series. Now of course, I can change my mind, but so far, I didn't even know which weekends the run WSX.
And riding at 70% to avoid injury. Sounds exciting haha. There contracted to race the American series as #1 priority. Why can’t there be a out door series doing the same thing ?
Watch a couple of highlights videos from Abu Dhabi. None of the riders are riding at 70%.
I’m convinced some of them are DC burner accounts.
Am I the only one that's just uninterested in WSX? It seems like an "offseason" series to me.
Maybe that will change if they can secure more talent or even higher profile MXGP guys.
A lineup of Tomac, Roczen, and a bunch of mid tier guys doesnt get the juices flowing for me.
I liked it because some racing is better than none but yeah it doesn't have the feel of a top flight series even with Tomac and Roczen . And going forward I don't think you'll see any of the younger top guys racing in it .
So you’re telling me, that at 100% Tomac and Roczen couldn’t get around Friese? Or maybe, just maybe, they checked up a bit so that the FOAB didn’t ruin their AMA seasons.
Paging @DonM...
He must have missed when KRoc ran it in on Vince.
FIM better cut the shit about their series being the true "World Supercross Series". When Ralph said, "Tomac will win the 2024 World Supercross Championship to go with his 2 Domestic Championships".....that was bullshit. AMA is far Superior than this Faircross Series. When the only difference is the sanctioning body and not the racing as a whole. AMA Supercross will ALWAYS be the true World Supercross Championship. The only thing that changed was FIM left.
Pit Row
Why? I've always said that WSX should be an off season fall series and their big mistake was thinking that they could succeed competing against other series while attempting to steal riders, which is why it failed so miserably it's first few seasons...the original group (Adam Bailey et al) were a bunch of arrogant clowns....it still is an empty meaningless "World Championship".....it's just a minor league championship that allows some riders and industry personnel to make some extra money in the off season....
What if they added more than 9 whoops? Brought back the Dragon's Back?
If only Tomac agreed...
"Becoming World Supercross Champion is an incredible feeling and a testament to our team’s hard work. We started strong with dominant wins and capped it off with a victory in Abu Dhabi, despite the challenges of a tight track. It’s been amazing competing against top riders from around the world, and I’m so proud to end the WSX season on the top step."

😂 😂 If you think that Eli and Kenny would be there without the large appearance money they were paid I've got some water front property available for you in the middle of the Mojave desert...fyi that is not a direct quote from Eli it was a press release created by WSX...for the amount of money they paid him to show up he will say whatever they tell him to....
As opposed to them speaking their mind and riding for free in the US?
It can make it, if they throw enough money at it. Especially for the guys in the twilight of their careers.
Personally I'll watch any race with Kenny and Tomac.
Also WSX was completely free this year.
I also bitch about WSX here n there, but racing is always better than no racing imo.
Your post says everything about your ignorance....
It has to be asked…
Who, in here, believes this truly is a “World Supercross Championship”?
We’re there butts in the seats?
All Pro racing is a show if it can be turned around for a large paid audience and paid TV time it will grow.
I do.
The FIM has sanctioning rights for any "World Championship" therefore it is a legitimate World Championship. From the 80's through to most of the aughts it was pretty agreed upon that American racers were the best motocross racers in the world, but an AMA Motocross champion could never call himself the World Champion.
It may be semantics but nowhere on Eli's trophy does it say "Best SX racer in the world." It says, "World Champion."
I can't wrap my brain around the WSX hate, here's what I see it's good for:
It's a chance for former hero's to make some more money and let us watch them win.
It gives journeymen a chance to earn money and keep the dream alive.
Gives young kids who aren't factory ready a chance to learn and grow into possible factory guys.
Exposes foreign riders to American level competition which helps them grow and progress.
Exposes foreign fans to Supercross which may make them seek out more racing which helps the AMA series.
Pushed the AMA series to improve purses.
If you still hate WSX, get over yourself.
Do you think the new ownership plans on making any money from their little country fair circus, some day?
😄
