No. I’m asking you to answer in your own words. Not link a 20 page thread on here. Can you not speak for yourself? Because all it seems like you’re saying is “KTM is going bye-bye”. Are they?

Explains why I found a new leftover TC65 marked down from $5600 to $3200. I think it's insane a new mini costs over 6k OTD. 🤯

Fair enough.

It looks like they are intent on saving the KTM brand at all costs.

The stock itself looks to be toast.

IF the debt restructure gets approved and they make the commitments on time there is a high probability KTM brand survives

If the creditors are unwilling to take the hit(I suspect their better option is liquidation) The brand has a realistic chance of being bought IMHO. No crystal ball here.

There is a potential for the place to be padlocked in 90days. That does not mean the KTM brand will not survive.

One dead givaway is if you see a bunch of folks coming around taking inventory.

LOL... that was good. Thanks.

I commented in a thread not to long ago and was attacked. There are idiots everywhere on this site. All they need is some internet access and a keyboard of some sort and the mindless Clueless  attacks start. To accomplish what? Make themselves feel important? Certainly one does not have to attack someone to share and opinion. That sentence probably flew over 60% of the readers. I also wanted to say uneducated mindless and clueless.. but formal education doesn't make you smart.

Don't pay attention to everyone MxAddic. Keep on keeping on.

And if it goes to zero (and I've had stocks do that.. can you say global crossing?) you can revive the thread and say "how did the investment work out?" &nbspWink

Do you really think KTM is going under, and stock prices won’t rebound… really?

Chrysler was under $2 in 1980.

How much was Chrysler stock worth 15 years ago?

Don't know the numbers off hand but I wish I bought Harley Davidson when it was first bought back from AMC.

I have some questions:
1. Are they actually filing for bankruptcy or just declaring insolvency and restructuring?

2. If the latter, how do I buy it? Brokerage app (Schwab?) on the Vienna exchange?

3. Most importantly, does this mean I can buy a discounted 350 in the near future?

1. They have applied for "file the application for the initiation of judicial restructuring proceedings"...

https://www.pierermobility.com/en/newsroom/eqsfeed/2891375

2. Pierer trades as PKTM.S on the Swiss exchange and PKTM.VI on the Vienna exchange, if your brokerage app gives access to either exchange you can buy through the app.

3. Dealers are already advertising reduced prices, you should be able to buy a discounted 350 now, or make an offer, you might be surprised by the response.

Good  to hear from you LungButter! You are in a class all by yourself...And belong there. With maybe a few fans of the same mindset. LOL

Depends on what you are polishing LungButter? Is it a bong? The answer is no imo - if that is what you want to polish to improve KTM AG performance. In my opinion it won't improve performance for the KTM AG group. You personally - imo a polished bong may... could make you more likeable.  Improve your social skills. For a short time. I do have my doubts but there is a shot! Maybe you should take it? Your call.

Btw.... Did you try it? Try polishing the intake of a 2 stroke? Or are you just a arm chair qtr back? One of the vitards that would attack MxAddic - and anyone else to make yourself feel... something -  without doing any research, or building anything... just sitting on your couch ... beer in hand. Mess in front of you. Irked at the world from you day working at.. Sorry..... Do you have a job?

Hey Lungbutter - how much cash are you willing to bet - either side of the bet - Meaning you want to bet the stock goes up... or you want to bet it goes down (puts). How much risk capital do you have are willing to make  bet? Or is it all about the couch.. the keyboard. The beer. Step up.

It would be more than a 6 pack of bud to have an impact. Can you risk that much?

Do tell... what you willing to bet?

gerg - Lungbutter jumped in to this  ... as he was one of the vitards that attacked me in another thread. He gets his jolly's attacking others. I suspect their are many others he has attacked. Not just here.  I can only imagine how much joy in his daily life he brings (NOT) to the people around him.

He was easy to flush out. Came out of the hole he's in very quickly to take a shot at someone else. He's probably sitting in a chair in front of a TV planning his next attack... maybe me... maybe someone else. Just a wonderful and joyous human.

LOL.

I didn’t read every comment so apologies if someone mentioned this;

Maybe only having “race ready” kids bikes was a bad move. I always heard “other brands do that, we don’t need to” retort from the KTM group but maybe offering a competitor to the Japanese beginner offroad models could be an option they should consider.

I’m no marketing/business wizard but it seems they’re missing another revenue stream that could potentially help their bottom line.

Hearing now that the lawrences are having a hard time with the frame on the new crf and seeing how basically everyone hates the new ktm… it brings back up the same question Ive had forever. Why do these companies always feel the need to make massive changes to platforms that are working great? Before the most recent redesign ktm had been doing years and years of smart refinement to the platform. Every year they were tweaking a little here, shaving a little there, adjusting a couple mm here. Then when all of it has really truly paid off and their bike is at absolute peak form they tear up everything, throw it in the trash, and introduce a whole new frame.

It seems like these brands are changing things just to say they changed things. Its biting them in the ass though. Keefer just showed a few months ago that most ppl actually like the 07 crf the best. Maybe they should only be changing the things that need to be changed like making more power. If the public demands a refresh they can always redesign the plastics. Think of how much it costs ktm to redesign everything for the new bike. They have to change the entire production line. All of that money lost to end up with a worse bike. Maybe just like the phone upgrade yearly cycle no longer makes sense the needing the brands to completely change everything every few years makes no sense. This obviously isnt the reason why ktm is going bankrupt, but theyre going to have to fix a lot of problems and the production line is definitely going to be a part of that.

Yeah the efi electric start 125 is a perfect example of ovr doing it. A soon to be 21 yr old cr125 rapes  a 2025 125 Ktm . And handling is light yrs ahead of it.  Probably why they sell for more that a 4 yr old 250f.

That is crazy. I never bought into the race ready bs.  I want a aluminum frame that lasts forever & a fork that works. And hardware that looks cheesy & hex heads . We want high quality bolts . You work on your bike , you want good fasteners.  Ever visit  plating co ? There’s quite  a few newer  Ktm cylinders there.

Holding down a job? Viewing shock dyno's? And telling the world you know all about suspension? You never responded to my questions.... I know.. it's hard when you get called on being over your skis! LMAO.

Who's idea was it to fit a torx bolt on a dirt bike, didn't they realize dirt would fill the bolt's head?

When car manufacture went to torx it lowered the amount of stripped bolts with 20%.

What do you see wrong with having two options? I know of 5 bolts that is torx only. Lower profile for frame bolts is only positive.

I think the yamahas and kawi have Allen's?

I've never understood why people don't like the ktm torx bolts? You can use two different tools and get two shots to mess them up, lol. I like the torx also since they don't drop off when holding them on the end of the tool during assembly.

It's a shame this has happened to ktm. They have done some innovative stuff and the Japanese have had to up their game.

Certainly not saying ktm are without sin though lol. I've always said they are 3 years ahead of everyone else and 1 year ahead of themselves based on all the recalls.
