I've had my 350 listed on marketplace for over a month now, and not a single low ball offer. Not one inquiry. I sell a fair amount of stuff on marketplace, as well as a few bikes on there in the past, and I've never experienced such a drought in activity. The bike is listed lower than most other 350s, and it photographs great (It's in great shape in general, but I'm not here to sell you on it). I'm just curious if any of you guys with bikes listed are having the same experience. I expected to take a slight bath on this thing given how much things have slowed down, but I wasn't expecting zero activity.
Has the used bike market officially crashed?

I live in N. Illinois and I have noticed prices have come down, EXCEPT for the prices of KTM 50's for my daughter. 😂 Little bikes are bringing a premium still.
We are all broke as shit man.
We have to put gas in our vehicles and feed our family's before we can buy the used 350
For many of us,there isn't much left,if any, when those are paid.
Scan the amounts on the gas pumps people are putting in there cars next time.
Less than 2 weeks left… until we vote
What's your asking price?

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
I pointed out on another thread that I walked into a KTM dealer last week and every bike was $1,500 off. Even the Stacyc (not kidding).
With deals like that, I think it'll be hard to unload a used bike.
I bought 2 cr125,s from northern iL. I sold the 05 last yr from Manchester park - Rockford had it on consignment at a Mx shop, best way to sell a bike. I only got 3,400 sold it quick end of winter yet.
I still hv the Ottawa 04 swingarm & wheels r from a 4 hr Mn. Bike oh & mod cylinder .
It took two months to sell my low hour super-clean 23 CRF450R. Normally my used bikes sell within a couple of weeks because I keep my stuff well maintained and looking nice.
I think the bottom had already fallen out a few months ago.
Used market been soft a good while. I dropped my 23 Honda CRF250R off at a dealership last week to try to sell for me. They sold my Yamaha and I made out good. Dealerships can finance.
Cycle shack North in Conroe, Tx a few weeks back had a used never been raced old guy owned 2023 Honda CRF250R with 10 hours as i recall. They had it listed for $5900 ish.
yeaaa man same. i got 2 new 24 Kawi's & was hoping to sell my older gen kawis & they've been on marketplace for a few months now & have not sold. I actually get quite a few messages. I could trade it for a banshee lollolllll.
21 kx is listed at 4200 all stock. 23 is listed with a brand new crate motor in it & some aftermarket parts that is listed for 6200 but i'd sell it for 5800.
Let me know if i'm off my rocks on this one guys.
Early 2021 trucking crashed hard that the economy. It’s been a battle to earn 35% of 2020 wages. Then the cost of everything went double +. 450-500 a week cold sandwiches, gal of water , scale tickets, just basics. Run the NE 4 times more expensive . Furlows at mega carrier s , no pay told to go home. Much worse than in 08-09. Next yr everything else crashes. After 18 months of that. Trucking comes back and everyone else is loosing there jobs. Hundreds of thousands of huge warehouses where built in late 19 and never used.
Yes, sir. Great deals all over the place for 125 and 250 2 strokes. Hopefully picking up a 24 gas gas 250 tbi with 20 hours on it for $5500 with pipe, ecu tune and ankle saver pegs. I saw a 22 450 with 50 hours on it for 4K.
You need to get your medication refilled
Elections have consequences.
$6500 (NJ if that matters)
Yes, but try telling that to all of the sellers out there. In my area the market is getting flooded with used bikes but they are still asking crazy prices and get offended when you offer a more accurate market price. I'm just waiting on the sideline ready to jump when I find a deal.
I did ok when I sold my 21 yz450 and 22 yz 250
I just bought an extremely low hour second 23 SR450 for $6900
Couldn’t pass that up
I know someone with a 13hr 23 450sx that he put up for sale for just what's owed on it 4,300.00 and had zero hits from marketplace and other for sale sites. I was surprised he didn't even get the junkers to call at that price. Ended up deciding to keep it.
He'll I have a 18 yz250f for sale 4,800 with about 1800 worth of extra parts that's not getting any attention either. Normally that would have been gone in a month or so.
Also not to mentio I've had 6 jobs canceled due to financial issues for now.
Pit Row
Nice Bike! Yes things are cool'n down. 24 GG 350's are $3,200 off at the local dealer and 3.9%.
Just sold 2, 300cc TBi bikes with 50 ish hours at our dealership this week, other than than, used is glued to the floor.....especially used moto bikes.
He might be out there on other things, but on this one he is right.
I am in logistics and prices have been rock bottom for over 18 months now. I don't understand how trucking companies are making it at the rates they are having to take now.
My buddy has a gas gas 450 works edition..can't sell the damn thing. I think alot of casual enthusiasts just don't know enough about gas gas and don't give it a 2nd look.
I snatched a 25hr 2022 KX450 for $4k in SoCal… so yeah, the bottom fell out awhile ago.
Yeah the economy is trash AND:
Your bike is specific and drawing from a smaller pool of potential buyers than a motocross bike.
1.That thing has a headlight, so you're eliminating all buyers that want a MX bike.
2.Remaining smaller group of Enduro riders are again split: racers / recreation.
Rec riders want a 2 stroke because they have wet dreams about riding hard enduro. So you are selling only to people that compete in off road races.
3.350 might be a great bike but if you're under 30 your ego won't let you give up 100cc's
Timing
Your over 30 offroad racer will come along eventually.
However, that's the crowd to finance a new bike, even more so with new models recently released and discounts on previous models. Not to mention the wife's mid size black SUV needs tires and the camper trailer needs work.......cash flow is a little tight.
Maybe this spring after we get through Aiden's football season and then the holidays you'll have no problem selling it.
I also though about that… I think that most people don’t realize that it’s a red ktm. Especially mine because I added the map switch, hour meter, husky pro taper bars, etc.
It crashed about a year ago around here. Not to say the prices are cheap, they are just not selling unless you take a bath.
It looks like a really nice bike, but you’re trying to sell it in on the high end in NJ at the end of October. Snow could be falling in a couple weeks.
Depends on the hours on the bikes. The problem with the one with a new motor is people trusting that you did the work right. Most people would rather just spend another $1000 more and get a brand new one.
New kawis are like $6200 OTD near me. Why would I buy used if I can only save a grand or 2?
I sold a 24 TX300 with 40hrs on it for 8500 last week. I don't consider that a great price seeing as though I had about 13k in it counting taxes and suspension mods. Bike was 11300 new, in my area the husky's have worse resale than ktm but cost more at the dealership. In these times I was glad to see it go though because I know several used 24's still sitting.
You did well I think. A new '24 it is probably going to be $9500+tax. Maybe even closer to $9k.
