Does anyone know the figure payed to absorb Husqvarna and GasGas? I'm not sure 'restructure' is the word I'd be using in the quaint little town of Mattighoffen this morning. Roger's on his 3rd pot of coffee

All they had to do was put Sexton KYB edition forks in the KTM hard parts catalog.

Do you guys know if this is the same deal for Kawasaki black, green, white couplers? Does that affect the way in which I would 'tune' the vortex ? Currently have the white coupler in,vortex set on 5,5,5 1 and I just won't start...and when it does,it's all over the place. When I rev it,the rev 'carry's' on longer? Where do I...

Can I ask how this ended up? I have the exact same issue from your previous thread. The bike just refuses to start no matter if I'm on all 5's,6's,change maps etc. Driving me crazy and frustrating the hell out of me. I don't want to start my bike with the original ecu, warm up and switch it etc.

That’s actually pretty good advice.

Increasing means to slow down your shock.

Need to use proper terminology…. “rebound” is either faster or slower…”compression” is stiffer of softer….you want to “slow” the rebound down some, to help keep the shock from “Pogo stick” effect in the rollers/whoops. Now if you get on a a hardpack track with sharp square edge pot holes, you would “speed up” rebound to combact the quick hits from the square edge, also keeping wheel on the ground for traction…these are not extreme changes, as you should have your suspension setup for intermediate terrain or the most average track conditions that you ride, these would be considered your “base”...

If its a long, fast, whooped out & rough… I slide forks down to extend wheelbase, think stability….you give up tight turning & front end bite, but a full on sand track you are generally steering with the rear end & throttle. 1-2 clicks in/ stiffer compression, use the Oring you have on your fork tube to check for bottoming and adjust compression accordingly… rear shock, error on more sag vs less, and slow down rebound a few clicks… I used to have a sand track that was so rough, after 20-25 minute motos the shock body would get hotter than...

This is the point of what I'm asking. When I backed it off it felt way better in the corner, I went 2 on everything and before I went down the rabbit hole thought I'd ask.Ill put the compression back to where it was and then keep clicking the fork softer The track is a mix of 'both' types of...

Sand is tricky. - that’s what I mostly ride. I find that if the front feels skatey the front is too stiff or you have too much shock sag. I usually start by backing off the compression on the fork (softer) by just a click or two at a time until you feel more front end bite. Too soft and it will knife. That sweet spot can be tricky to find so make small changes - if the front lacks traction cornering I’d try sliding a bit more forward on the bike in the corners before doing much if anything...

That’s a hard base with loose sand on top. A deep sand track is much different. Add more sag until you loose front end grip. Then back it off.

I waS gping to back the rebound down this morning a couple more clicks and leave the fork height where it is. The front feels 'skatey' entering the bigger fluffy berms and I don't know which way i should be going Keep the front stiff and back the rear down or soften the front compression also?
