Oct in UK. Good odds of very wet race. AP could prove to be just the right guy.

I don’t mind AP being on the team whatsoever but the whole argument that AP is a good mud rider is blown way out of proportion. I think he’s had one good mud race since moving to the 450 class. “Good race” is relative to his competition of course but how many muddy races have we had and he still doesn’t have a moto win?

He was good in the mud against his competitors when he was in the 250 class but he was also just better than them when it was dry as well.

He did win a muddy San Diego SX this year.  Wink  But yeah, I think it's a better representation to say that he's fine in the mud where some guys can't ride it at all...

If that plastic patriot Deegan turns you guys down again he should be overlooked for the next MXoN that is on US soil. Plessinger truly wants to be there, he would still put his hand up with 2 broken legs. Going there for results and going for pride are two very different things.

Tomac turned down the MXdN in 2016 and 2017. Raced it in 2018 when it was held in the U.S. and then didn't race it again until 2022 when it was again held in the US, and asked not be considered for 2024.

Jeff Stanton, Damon Bradshaw, Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, and others have all turned it down. Yet a kid two seasons into his career is getting shit on by keyboard warriors even though last year Star explicitly said that they were not going to send their riders.

This year, I'm sure Star, along with Haiden, are weighing out whether it's the right decision.  Either way, it's Haiden's career, Star's money, and their choice to make.

None of those riders you mentioned were yapping on like a Chihuahua about being the American boy though.

Haiden just did an interview with Vitals own Jaimie Guida”Darkside” and haiden said that he says the stuff he says for views and to give the media more stuff to write about. I like it, and I like the flag waving too, he was the first american since 2019 to win that 250 title, the others were a frenchie and aussies.

This would be Hampshire's second year on Team USA, so he knows how the event works now and who the fast guys are.   He would be pitting with the top two MX2 guys, so bike setup would be easier.

Personally I would like to see Hymas take the slot if Deegan decides it's too intimidating, but RJ  is a solid choice if thats what they decide...

Other than AP's 1 moto, he was our best performer.  Shit starts but he was charging up the order in both moto's.  Would still prefer Hymas if Deegs is out, but will take RJ if that's the choice.  RJ would put it all out there....

Jesus man, just come out with the story and tell us. When did AP fuck your girl? Maybe if you let it out you can finally move on. Did he kick your dog? What was it?

It’s almost like there is more than one person here with an opinion. “Vital” is a collection of many people with many view points, so saying “Vital says this” or “Vital said that” is quite foolish and pointless.

I think that every time I read that Vital thinks this or that.  Thanks for saying it.

Next to address is the overstating of  the influence this chat board has on the industry as a whole.

Boy wonder why riders don’t want to go with the hate AP is getting for stepping up each year when others were afraid to go

The guy that has smoked his clutch in multiple mud races is the best choice for a mud race, got it

Show me where Haiden has yapped on about being the "American boy".  Your point was that the "plastic patriot" should not be allowed to go in 2025 when it's held in the U.S. if he chooses not to go to Matterly.   Should Tomac have been allowed to go in 2018 and 2022 even though he turned down the chance to go several times?

i think eli is being a gentleman here. he knows AP really wants to go. chase probably going as well. so him stepping out gives AP and opening to fill without any conroversy. ET3 probably wants to do some hunting as the timing usually coincides with elk tags and such...and with how many races there is its is only breathing room to get it done. AP is pumped about it. i say let him go and do it. a sexton, plessinger and deegan or chance team is pretty damn talented  team. i have no regrets for that lineup. its a tough race but its tough for all the teams. i want our guys to want to be there.

How many times do you need to be reminded - it was because Deegan was going on about being American and a patriot etc.  If he hadn't done that he'd be getting way less shit.

Don’t step on their rage!

They don’t like it when you’re stoked on a rider that they don’t like…or even…”hate”.
