I’d argue that the downtime is when kids are socializing and building skills to understand society and how they function in it. The social aspect alone is a viable skill at a public school. Sheltering your kid from interacting with people unlike them is not beneficial in the long run IMO. Homeschooled kids are always a little strange socially. You ever meet a person and a few months in they mention that they were homeschooled and have an aha moment?

This thread is an example of how stressed, angry, and bitter a lot of people in society are now. Interesting that everyone's saying that Deegan should've jumped straight. In the jump prior to the 180, MacAdoo crosses over from the middle to the outside of the landing. Should he also have jumped straight? In the 180, MacAdoo was a long ways back from Deegan. When entering this rhythm section, MacAdoo caught up quickly, but considering that the riders in front of Deegan to his right were slower than him, his line choice was correct. MacAdoo should've anticipated where Deegan was going to land, as Deegan was making a pass, and there's no way Deegan would know MacAdoo was there...
