Yet here you are, projecting your own shit onto the man in the arena.

You are welcome to your opinion. It may be worthwhile to keep it yourself more often, and maybe even going as far as to sit and ask yourself if it’s serving you.

It’s all perspective.

man, the comment Austin wrote today needs to be respected. That was one of the most mature and best way he could’ve possibly responded to that guy.

Not a lot of guys have the ability to say something like that and have what he’s been through to back it up.

Perfect match if the stars align. None of them seems to be able to complete a season without issue.

Best case those issues will be synchronized, leaving room for some great moto and overall wins 😁😄

You can say all you want about him being injury prone but not a thing about talent. How many guys are out there and available that are a favorite to win every race they enter? Is it better for Triumph to hire a guy who wins three races and is out for the rest of the season or to hire a guy they hope can get on the box but most likely is sniffing around the top five? Second year in, it is utterly imperative that Triumph gets a race win and Forkner gives them the best chance and also a damn good shot at a title.

When he's well, he's hell.

I agree. 5 Years ago, young AF was kind of insufferable. A bit like we are seeing out of another young rider currently. As AF has gotten older and matured, he has become much more likable from a fans perspective.

Nothing against swoll, but I’d love to see Triumph get an A+ rider. Forkner is a risk but it could pay off, I’d gamble it.

Forker is an A+ rider?  Aside from his rookie outdooor season has he finished a championship?

If memory serves..Austin had just passed and was holding off with no problem the #38 who many people think is ready to take the crown from Jett as the king of SMX when he crashed out this last time. IMHO that qualifies him as an A+ rider.

I've been a Forkner fan since he came on the scene. He's actually one of those that has always had an abundance of raw speed and talent. He just has needed to tame that some. Saying that however, it's true his '23 season opener out of the gate/first turn crash at Anaheim 1 was really no fault of his own. They were nearing the end of the straightaway, speeds were high and riders tangled and fell, collecting Austin. You can't just pin some of the season ending injuries on his own mistakes. Moto happens! It's the sport, on some, his own mistakes on some.

I know an offer was presented by PC, whether he stays there for SX or moves on, I wish him the best. Although the window is closing,he still has what it takes to win a championship, and I'm sure that's exactly why teams are still very interested in his potential.

EGO.

You sure like to point out ego in others, some kind of elitist mentality you have there. Glad you found a mentality that aligns with your values in life. BUT, i wonder, can you see the USA from that high horse you're on?

Yes, it’s imperative for Triumph to win in year two so they can sell more bikes. Let’s hire the guy that is most likely to flail one through the air. That’ll sell em!

My opinion was right there in my post.  Start winning. Anything.

I would quantify that as several wins over a couple years.  **Race wins
So yes, In my grading system, I would be Swoll at a solid B. That equates to above average with potential.

Okay team manager of the year, who would you hire that is available that is more likely to win than him?

what was Cooksey talking about when he said something will come out in a couple weeks, personal to Forkner, that influenced this Triumph move?

He's won a whole whack of 250 races already.

Whatever bike, or region,  he's a title favorite.

As I said no disrespect to Swoll, he’s been doing great as of late, best I’ve seen him and I hope it continues into next year. I’d rank him an A rider.

What I would qualify as A+ is someone who is expected to be 3rd at worst, not 3rd at best. And be within sight of the leader at the finish line, not 15+ back. Forkner has shown he can do that when he’s there. Deegan, kitchen, Hampshire, hymas those guys

I guess I should clarify. My disapproval of the Forkner signing would be the extreme dollar amount they’re offering. I’d have no issue if Austin was making the same or less to go to Triumph. I don’t see why they’d go so above and beyond to secure a rider that eats shit for a living.

The Smith signing makes some amount of sense. He’s at least a solid top 5 guy in 250SX all things considered. Savatgy on a 250 I was and still am 100% out on, and his results during outdoors have certainly proven me right.

If it were me, I’d be throwing that big money at Drew Adams to go pro on Triumph. He’s the real deal, and I’d put money down he finishes ahead of Forkner in points next season.

an A+ rider isn't just based on speed... how are you going to win championships if you can only make it one round?  Decision making is an F.  If his contact lenses popped out and he couldn't see why'd he wick up the pace to hold off Deegan when he had a considerable points lead?  Could've chosen to live on and fight another day, but he ended yard sailing himself for one win.  Speed isn't the only thing that matters.

I see what I see.

From my perspective, someone telling Forkner (or anyone else) what they “think” they “should” do is about as elitist as it gets. As if they know better than Austin.

And no, I currently cannot see the USA from where I am. Jumped off that high horse awhile ago.

Sounds like it’s not as high as it once was.

Hope you are enjoying the view from wherever you are 😘

What you posted is fact, but the reality is it's also a fact teams will still pay big money to someone who has the potential he does, so why retire when he can still make another million even if he gets hurt?

Are you aware of the terms of the deal? Injury clause of some sort is a reasonable possibility.

How much you willing to put down?
