Just curious what the taller riders 6 feet tall+ are riding and what mods you run. I’m 6’3 and looking for a new ride and wanted to know what everyone else is on. My heart says Yamaha, but most of the tall riders I see are on Kawasaki.
23 Kawi Sr450
came off a 21 YZ450 and 22 yz250
had a 19 KX450 and felt like home the minute I got on it.
6’4” 230
Mark me down for green bike. 6’2
6’1. 200#. KX. Bars forward position, pegs lower position. Let er rip tater chip.
Yamaha worst for tall riders..like sitting on a couch.

5’9” 170….oh..never mind..
6’2 on an RMZ450. YZ feels really really good too.
This! A little over 6’1” a little over 200# and brockster set up on a green machine.
Yz250
Stock bars, seat, pegs
KTM all day. Best out of the box bike you can get in my opinion. Tried the new Hondas and didn’t feel comfortable. Got the KTM and felt much better immediately.
Kawi’s are nice but the resale is pretty bad in comparison.
Any way you go, every bike has deals right now. Dealers are overstocked.
How tall are you?
6'2". 220lb. 2022 MC450 with tall seat and KW bend bars. Fits well for me, but I've heard the new Kaw is better for taller riders.
6’4” 215. Also KTM all day long. I also have a Gas Gas. All I run is RC High Renthals in forward position.
6'. 24 yz450. I feel just as comfortable room wise as the 23 kx i had and 21 crf.
6’2” with long legs and arms. 23 Honda will drop Pegs, 300 RX with Flo pegs in low position. Guts tall seat on both.
Height doesn’t necessarily determine how a bike fits a person. I have a buddy that 6’4” and wears 29 inseam jeans lol. He couldn’t touch the pegs on my bike. He’s a quad guy anyway.
You can do a lot with stock setup of a Kawi as a taller guy. Really anyone for that matter.
6'1" - 195lbs. 2023 YZ250 with a tall seat and lower Raptor foot pegs. 827 (996) Fatbars on stock clamps.
How did you feel on the Yamaha? I’ve heard they aren’t great for taller riders.
6’7”
24 Kawi. More comfortable stock than a ktm by a wide margin. Feels longer and taller even without a tall seat.

Damn, you look like you’re on an 85 in your profile picture. Username checks out.
6’4
6’4”. KX450. I’ve ridden them all (and owned a Honda prior to this), and I’m not nearly as comfortable or confident on any of the others.
I had the lowered and
back raptors on the yz450
it was not bad at all

Out of the box it felt a bit cramped, but not to horribly. Largely I think due to peg & position. Threw on a set of aftermarket pegs to get them lower and further back and made it much more comfortable.
Still minimally cramped in a standing position for me (I stand for 98% of my riding), I think at some point a slightly higher bend bar will get rid of that complaint.
6’1” 235 lbs.. 23 WE. No mods done to compensate for my height.
I was 6,3 now 6 1/2 back compressed from 1099 trks. 04 cr125 fits me perfectly at both heights. Current pegs IMs farther down I Loved there low boy peg farther down and back but not made anymore. I just adapt to what’s available. Rg3 further forward and back triple clamp with Windham bend pro tapers. I can rotate bar up for more room but I can’t get the bike in the van then. Fox boots for a better feel shifting. Pic won’t upld tried twice. Ah god it’s hot sitting in a parking lot in Mo.
6’4 - 23’ SR with tall seat and low pegs
I have a '23 MC350, '23 350 SXF and a '24 KX450. Against popular opinion, I actually feel the MC older chassis and SXF newer chassis feel more roomy then the new gen KX. That is with bars as far forward in the mounts and mounts rotated where applicable for farthest forward and pegs lowered on the KX. Also I look bigger on the KX (KX looks smaller) then the new chassis KTM. 6'4, 245lbs. 36" inseam
What actually matters is your leg to torso ratio. Rider 1's 6'4' is not necessarily Rider 2's 6'4".
6'2 and I think you can get comfy om any bike with lower pegs, high seat and phds bar raisers.
Did have a yz450f-24 and it feelt awesome with these changes above.
Got a ktm amd and a kx now and they also feels very good with the changes.
All bikes feel cramped in stock form.
Just over 6'5" tall riding current generation Honda CRF450, RC High handlebars everything else stock.
Riding feels fine, never really tried anything like tall seat and lower foot pegs but when i think about it id like to try a tall seat and/or lower foot pegs.
Being tall usually comes with big feet and having size Euro49 the only thing that i found annoying was the gear lever position as my foot had to be at a weird angle to sit under when changing so changed the position up a bit.
