Why isn't someone asking that "journalist" about it and Ryno how he feels about being set-up? And that's assuming that was a legit interview and not a staged "joke".

How is stating facts being a hater. I honestly like Chase but his first SX championship he was well behind and was no competition for Austin. If AF didn't screw up Chase would not have won that title and even that being said it went down to the final race. Last year with 3 rounds left he was 21 points behind Tomac and 10 points behind Webb and both went down with fluke injuries. I don't think anyone in SX history has made up that kind of deficit with 3 rounds against 2 guys. You're an idiot if you say I was hating on him, I was pointing out the criticism he will get. There is a skill in staying in the fight while others go down.

I haven't been watching the broadcasts live or reruns. I catch the highlight reels and news results. I don't care who it is....when there is one dominant rider, the racing is boring AF to me.
I must say, Deegan has saved a dull season with his come from behind charges.
I too took a lashing for stating the truth about Chase's title last year. That was an inherited gift. It's not hate, just fact.

It would be good but I've accepted that with the sport as it is that's not going to happen. It's too small and the moto media do not have the leverage (in the sense of being able to shape narratives and set agendas) to get on the wrong side of the teams and promoters.
I watch because I like to see them ride. The top pros are amazing to watch, especially if you have even a little experience on a dirt bike. It’s even better when there’s competition, but it’s never boring to me… unless the producer fucks up the coverage…

Yea…Jett definitely gets an asterisk for his 22-0 MX title since Eli, you know ….the defending champion, was injured and out…. Wait….that’s dumb as fuck…and you can argue Eli was just unlucky if the Achilles just let go…as opposed to totally causing your own wreck/injury….you know…like Jett. People that talk about gifts in MX and SX should never watch…because someone good is always hurt. Everybody gets an asterisk when they win. Such a stupid comment.
It was a pretty gnarly get off at Hangtown. Herlings would have been crippled. This doesn't make me question Jett's durability much at all. Dude was still winning races hurt. He's tough. I imagine the practice crash had something to do with his already injured shoulder.
People who put an asterisk on a championship have a loser mentality . Chase would not have won that title without those injuries, however he worked just as hard and took the same risks as anyone else making him a worthy champion.
If you are going to play the “if …….didn’t screw up” game then Chase definitely deserved the SX title last year. He was the overall fastest through the season….no question. ….but he screwed up some. Oh wait….that’s not the same? I can’t remember the exact number of points he gave up with “screw ups” only when Chase does it…people like you blame Chase(which is correct) but then when others do it somehow it’s still a scar on Chase ….somehow. WT Fuck….Fucking A. If we go out and race and you are ahead and wreck…and I win. Guess what…I win and you can kiss my tan ass if you want to be a little bitch and say “but I fell”. Injury bug finally bit him... it was bound to happen eventually in this sport.
He's had a great run of health for several years now, which is so important for proper development. Many of the top guys of the past several years have come into the 450 class with a relatively spotless health record and looked poised for years of dominance. I think of Tomac in 2015 outdoors and Roczen up until 2017 Anaheim 2. The injuries they sustained put a massive halt to their respective runs of success - it took Tomac a couple of seasons to get back into championship form, and the severity of Roczen's injury has been heavily discussed here and permanently effected his career, resulting in 0 titles won since then for a guy who many thought would win multiple 450 SX titles and already had 2 450 MX titles under his belt, with nothing in his way to get to 3, 4, or 5.
Luckily for Jett, he's not dealing with anything extremely serious like a totally mangled arm or double broken shoulders, so one would assume this shouldn't "derail" his career for years. However, it is the first real bump in the road since he was basically a rookie 250 rider, and his response to this could set the tone for the rest of his career.
Guess we’ll never see a Jett vs. Tomac outdoor battle
That’s the battle I was looking forward to seeing. Anyway, It would be said Jett was not 100% and that’s why ET3 beat him.
