I was as high on Jett as anyone this year, and I still feel like he is the future of the sport for the next 5 years, but I noticed that he sure seemed rattled in his podium interview after the race this weekend. Last year, and even earlier this year, it seemed like he holeshot damn near every race. I’m a big believer that holeshots are closely related to confidence, and his starts have slipped a bit recently. There is no doubt that he has the talent and skill, but I wonder if he still has the confidence to pull it off this year. What do you think?
No meltdown. He's presently down but not out.
Jett's faster than anyone else in the mix, so it will be hard to beat him, unless he DNF's or crashes.
He didn't DNF or crash last night and got beat by a few riders.
Will be interesting to see how he deals with championship pressure down the final few here. Outside of Hangtown 2021 he’s never really had his back against the wall in a title chase
Did you not witness him come through the pack from 12th to 5th after a bad start while his main competitor got the hole shot and ran away. He will be fine.

Exactly. A meltdown lol. He got a 3rd in Seattle and got the t-bone of the century the next race. Then 5th last night. Yeah complete meltdown. Bradshaw turned his YZ into a missile on Chicken. That was a meltdown
I wouldn't use the definition rattled. But he sure took it hard. Ando squirting past him to put him back in 5th, I am sure didn't help. There's one thing you can't argue with is he definitely has full expectations of himself being the front guy across that finish line every weekend.
I believe Jett will win this championship. Jett is fastest on the track (except mud). Four races left, lots of racing. Cooper is crafty as a fox, and will use all his tricks to make this work for him. Can’t count out sexton. Last year third place rider claimed the crown with two races left. Jett is gaining tonnes of experiences ( good/bad). This series is a 17 race series for a reason. Anything can happen in SX, usually does ( Tomac, Webb, Sexton can verify this).

After watching him get beat by Anderson, was his last turn "non" aggression for the pass a maturity move. He had the inside line, could easily have bumped (or taken out) Andersons front wheel, but decided that with a few more races to go, better to play the long game. Would have gained one more point last night, but Jason could take 25 points away in one of the last races. Maybe he's learning. He's not dumb as a rock ya know. At least on the track. And yeah, I wouldn't call his interview a meltdown. Very bummed, disappointed in himself, sure. He has very high expectations.

I tipped eli to win this championship with jett a close second (but winning the most races).
maybe coops year ? as Jett has thrown away a heap of points (not always by his own doing).

It’s a good one to watch. Injuries aside I think Jett will edge Coop out but it’s been nice to see it come down to the final few rounds when it looked at one point like it could’ve been locked up early.
He's proven he can win if he gets the holeshot, he needs to improve his skill coming through the pack to take the win...

😂 Yes Sexton’s race was impressive and especially catching and passing Roczen. I am not sure if you’re response is just being excited for Sexton’s good ride or you are throwing shade towards Jett’s ride 🤔 Which one is it?

I cannot disagree with your comment he definitely has had multiple issues coming through the pack this year it is definitely the difference between him having a 40 point lead and being tied for the red plate. With Webbs tenacity it is anyone’s championship with 4 rounds remaining Imagine if Sexton wins this year again.

Worst I see him was 5th
At the 2nd corner of the race it was Webb, Roczen, Anderson, McElrath, Sexton.
Then he took 4th position with less than 30 seconds of the race run.
Unless you're counting some weird first turn melee??

It seems JETTS starts are inconsistent when the conditions are slick.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the bikes having overly optimized electronics, perfectly optimized for perfect conditions…
