Still no result, the longer this goes the better for Jett it feels. If they dock the other contenders should work out okay but the overall is gone.

What happens with multiple guys being penalised all at once for position?

Like lets say all top 10 got docked 2 positions. For sake of simplicity. Does 11th and 12th get the win and second psce and 1st gets third etc?

I know Eli didnt jump. Its clean that he gets the win. But most the top guys did. Just curious how multiple dockings work. Does the second guy not to jump get second place?
 

Or do you just have no rider finish in that position? 

It is what it is, but it's got to be a gut punch to hold off a pissed off Eli Tomac for a whole moto, only to lose 2 spots on a technicality at the finish line. We'll see I guess.  

Shouldn’t it just be a money fine, since technically it was after the checkers? 

That looks like it will be a 2 position penalty if they follow the rulebook.

Two things are true.

Jett got a raw deal with a sub optimal flagging situation. And, he will and needs to be docked 2 positions.

It's a bummer because now if Jett and Tomac start upfront, eli can ease up if he wants t, whereas if they were tied we might have gotten to see something really special.

If they don’t enforce the stated penalty, then they should remove the rule and penalty from the rule book.

So he drops to 3rd. Now has a 2, 3. The AMA needs to dock all other riders who jumped that Red Cross flag too. 

Do they typically wave the red cross? I don’t think they ever do. 
 

Jett even said he saw it though, and clearly Eli saw it.

They still haven’t posted provisional results for the second Main for 450’s on AMA’s website

I know it’s an unpopular take, but this is where a raceiver type communication device for safety stuff only (no team communication)  would really come in handy. 

This tells me that a red cross flag on the finish line is unusual enough to catch guys off guard.  If Jett was a dumbass...he's in good company.

Man the young guys are going to make this a lot of fun the next few years. You got Deegan already making himself a contender, Beaumer having a great rookie season, and Adams coming through I would assume next year?

When this many top guy’s dont see the flag. Perhaps putting it behind a waving checkered flag is stupid. 

Any rider who took the inside line through that corner had very little chance at seeing it until it was too late. Its directly behind a waving flag from that perspective.
 

But atleast they docked everyone. AMA need to take responsibility for the danger caused though. 

Why not give the Red Cross in the corner or something? Could see easily how those guys would miss it
