Last 8 years, fixed that for you.

It’s cool they go on the track. If the race is over and track cleared.

This a direct quote from Weege at the conclusion of the race:

"There is no scene in Supercross quite like this, because no other venue allows the fans to flood the race track and greet the riders at the podium."

It also helped him get to his hotel earlier than usual. Don’t think he was happy about that , but he made the best of it. His only post race interview was the guys from Pennsylvania at his hotels bar 🤣. That was classic.

Besides not wanting to step in human shit or get in a fight with aggressive panhandlers, I stopped going to Seattle SX for similar reasons. The “we’re just here to party” crowd seems to make up an ever-increasing portion of the crowd. Besides that, the older I get, the less I want to be around large crowds of any kind, especially those who have been drinking heavily. Nor do I want to be on the road with them afterward.

People that have to get hammered to appreciate the sport aren't real fans of the sport.

I agree to a point, but I think a lot of the 'fans' are just casual fans who want to get pissed.  I think there may have been a crossover with FMX - which I think is one of the worst things that ever happened to the sport.  FMX is just bullshit which is why Brian Deegan thrived in it. Motocross and supercross are proper motorsports.  It pisses me off every time I see or hear the non-moto media call someone like Carey Hart a motocrosser.

They should have just turned Friese loose after the race. He would have taken out over 1/2 the fans on the track. Problem solved for next year.

They spent too much on having rentacops doing stupid shit at irrelevant gates. Its even worse for rcsx. Got power trippin gate people at every corner acting like theres 75000 nascar fans when in reality its an amature race that everyone that's in there should be.

Worst year ive had at Daytona out of the last 3.

"17-"20 was great, but after that it got weird. Just riding around to the front to get coffee and donuts became a hassle.

You can't  fix stupid.

I hope Feld gets some type of fine from Team Kawasaki and KTM.

Daytona is not a Feld event, it's run by NASCAR Holdings.

Matt Burkeen has good video of this.  Stupid fans and derelict Daytona(the Daytona promoter…NASCAR) for security of riders.  How about the AMA fines Daytona and give the riders some of their fine money back for being put at risk.  Riders should tell Daytona if they sell those lower temp seats next year then they aren’t racing.  That was ridiculous!

The last minute change to no 2 wheeled ICE powered pit vehicles was bizzar.

Did you hear someone in the announcers box laughing when JA21 clipped that female “fan”? Totally unprofessional.

This REALLY needs to happen he needs to sit the AMA down in the Kawi trailer and have a conversation and deliver the fine.

Initially I was inclined to say this was just a typical Daytona racing environment, and security had a major fuck up and let fans on the track to early.  However some of the stuff I have seen on social media from the weekend, makes it look like a total shit show.

OMG....you're right I forgot... wow. Well AMA says the fault falls on the promoter. The promoter is supposed to be responsible for venue security and crowd control. BUT I'm pretty sure the AMA is at fault for not having "track security" to keep morons off the track.

I hate to clutch my pearls, but this is a terrible look. I know it's a remote chance because the riders are amazing, but what happens if they rush the track while Ando is in the air over a triple and lands on someone?

That's where I'm at with it.  Nevermind the ridiculous ticket fees and food prices at the stadiums.

Glad I went to my local MX track to ride on Saturday.  The biggest problem I saw was the one guy with a Stark Varg running his big generator all day.  Sorry, had to say it!  Evil

It will be the AMA's fault if they don't follow through with the rules and hold the promoter accountable.

But how often do the AMA follow their own rules?
