When I think of SX, I think of domed roof NFL stadiums at night. What we have now is closer to state fair races. Bench seat viewing, open top, mid-day so you're guaranteed either a dust bowl or a mudder. I wish I were exaggerating but I'm not. Super pumped for the Tackle Shop Parking lot race in Missouri.

For the 2nd moto start today, most have seen Kitchen and a few other riders tangling up and blowing the first turn and headed towards that photographer. Well, that photographer was me haha. I've seen comments online asking if I was fine and to answer, yes, I got out of that situation somehow completely unharmed. I went right back to shooting pictures after that. Keeping bare pipes clean is so easy. WD-40 with scotch brite after washing, and maybe once a month pull it off and use some CLR or Lime Away. There is no need for nickel plating, SS or Ti for the purposes of preventing rust.

For one thing, NO track whether it’s a local track or AMA national track is going to have the same sand or dirt that it’s always had after 30+ years of action. It gets roosted away, washed away after years worth of rainy Spring races, mud races etc. 338 sees races ALL year except for the winter. Send your existing crank to CrankWorks. They'll rebuild it to OEM specs and they do good work. Or, if available, just buy a new OEM crank.

My 2008 CRF250R. Almost 400hrs on the bike. Stock crankshaft. Carb needs rebuilt but it still starts first or second kick every time. I don’t ride it much at all anymore, mostly just my pit bike, but a few summers ago I tore it down to the frame and cleaned everything.
