Send your existing crank to CrankWorks. They'll rebuild it to OEM specs and they do good work. Or, if available, just buy a new OEM crank.

My 2008 CRF250R. Almost 400hrs on the bike. Stock crankshaft. Carb needs rebuilt but it still starts first or second kick every time. I don’t ride it much at all anymore, mostly just my pit bike, but a few summers ago I tore it down to the frame and cleaned everything.

I got this RM 125 "cheap". The bottom end seized my first ride, then got a Wiseco crank that seized 1 or 2 rides later, THEN rebuilt the OEM crank and everything else and it ran like a champ forever.

It’s pretty wild to me that the first company to cut 2-strokes from their lineup is bringing them back 20 years later. Hopefully the 2-stroke kooks that were butthurt about the delays can get over it and be appreciative to have another option. Looks like a cool bike!

Tondel also rode a couple rounds of the outdoors last summer on the factory HRC 450. I think I remember hearing a segment on TV where Lars talked about some sort of connection the two had. Seemed like he rode well in the early laps, I think southwick he ran inside the top 10 for a few laps.
