SX is not normal racing. They’ve had to move all the dirt into the stadium, build the track, then afterwards they have to clean up and move it all out again. The parking and pits setup at SF has been a logistical nightmare, they had to organise all of that, shuttles from the parking etc. Sold thousands of tickets that they would then have to potentially refund. In the end, the race ran fine.

I think having the second race of the season be a mud race is great. Everyone leaves the opening round with questions, you’re waiting for another race to validate what you saw at A1. None of those questions got answered tonight, the questions and early season intrigue rolls on for another week

Someone needs to do a segment on the clean-up after a mudder like this one. I can't imagine what it takes to get the stadium and all the gear back to normal before the next event.

You have to wonder how long some of these newb posters have been watching US SX and MX. They race in all kinds of weather. Grow a pair

That was awesome I don't know how you could complain about that it was wild!

Besides they did plow the whoops out for the Lawrence's.

A mud race or 2 a year is fine imo. Always fun to watch. I attended one in San Diego years ago and had an awesome time!

The least surprising event of the night! A person that is on another one of their sock puppet accounts continues to have shitty takes.

Because of privateers and their small budgets I've always said if it's gonna be this bad there's no shame in postponing it to Sunday. Especially in sx its enough of a meat grinder already. For saftey im for it. If the weathers going to be better and make the track a better track for racing. If the weather's gonna be the same no matter what run it.

I appreciate the mud but I feel bad for Dirt wurx and the clean up crew after nights like these. That has gotta suck. I’m about to head to bed and those poor souls will be up all night cleaning up that slop.

I would bet there were fewer injuries causing riders to miss time tonight than there will be at any other round this season. There was nothing unsafe about this.

Was thinking the same thing! The work they do for a dry event is unreal! After an event like that it must be brutal! They earn their money!!!!

There's a new sport that's been taking the country by storm for the last few years it's some kind of paddle miniature Tennis game don't really know the name of it nor do I care but I think it's right up your alley and they don't play in the rain.

You can thank me later. Laughing

Pickleball. It’s the most annoying sound you will hear. I much prefer the sound of a well jetted 2 stroke.

I don't mind a mudder for sure, figure this is supposed to be a tough sport and they should race the track in front of them, and please forgive the dumb question as I've never been, but isn't the Bay area kind of famous for really wet winters? Doesn't scheduling a race there in January almost guarantee one?

What do you expect them to do? They rescheduled a race last year when it was obvious it would be untenable.  But once you decide to have the race, you cant just cancel it. NBC wont take kindly to that shit.

Indoor stadiums only, Duh.
