I think there was a high chance PC received this treatment a few seasons ago

Oh ok jackass - I think this is a legit question we used to run data collectors for power companies if they were set up to talk bluetooth and link up to other devices some would get mixed signals and not function properly. Probably a mistake to respond to someone like you as your response explains exactly who you are.

I’m on board with this, totally!  It wouldn’t surprise me if Roger DeCoster, Jeremy Coker, or some fan in the stands, made Benny wheelie out of the gate and were fucking with his ignition timing on the first lap.  But then again, It might’ve been something completely innocuous like somebody trying to open their car with a key fob right when the gate dropped.Dry

Or maybe a little too much throttle and a miss timed clutch…. nah!  Pros never make a mistake under pressure.  What about a neutrino from outer space?  Can eliminate that with 100% certainty??

Gti obviously watches CNN and MSNBC.

Yeah cause CNN and MSNBC has had to pay so much money recently for reporting fake news and telling fabricated lies😂😂 So now if our racer doesn’t do as expected, instead of accepting the results like sportsmen have done for over 200 years in our country. We blame others and grasp onto cockamamie nefarious theories. OK got it!  Another example of how motocross is a perfect life parable - however sad

This thread delivers 😂😂😂

You're just illustrating how you don't know anything about radio waves.

Most annoying posters of all time are people who bring up politics here. Especially stuff involving the major news outlets. Go away.

I knew my remote door locks and garage doors opening would get some spun up………I never thought about Jewish ray guns, that’s a good one.  But James McMurtry did sing about Desert Eagle Pistols made by bad ass Hebrews in his song Choctaw Bingo!

Yes you are correct that i only a have a laymans amount of knowledge when it comes to radio waves. So I ask you to tell me how radio waves can affect Benny Bloss's bike.

Matthes said the bike broke both times.  Not a good look.  He said, “Beta needs to be betta’”

How hard is it to make a bike that will go when you twist the throttle? Baffling

Still scratching my head as to why it takes so long to develop a bike to run well and do good. I guess we all know the answer, and that is all the ignition timing and electric app, and all the other mumbo-jumbo, beta doesn't have anything else they can use from all the other bikes they have? Crazy.

McMurty sang about a whole lot more than Desert Eagles in Choctaw Bingo… 😂

I think the amount of force that goes through a supercross bike is unlike anything else.  Clutches cook, frames stretch, engines can overheat, a set of triple clamps snapped on the weekend. It's repeated heavy force harder than anything else over and over and over.

I can't imagine the force through a bike because none of us do it, but theres a reason the knowledge of some people is so valued.

My prediction is it was a clutch related issue for Benny but could have been electronic.  I'm not sure electronics work but the teams have multiple electronics people to get their bikes to the highest level so it must be slightly more complicated than a garage remote.

and coding faults are so common in electric devices

Yep, James McMurtry did sing about more than bad ass Hebrews in Choctaw Bingo.  He sang about Club 69 too.  I have distinct dishonor of fighting in the parking lot at the Club 69 which was south of Muskogee Oklahoma on hiway 69.  Didn’t turn out very good for me and my buddy Clonnie……odds weren’t in our favor!  It’s a wonder we got out alive.

Pretty sure James still sings Choctaw Bingo in his set every Tuesday night at the Continental club in Austin, Tx.

On a serious note, I can't phantom a motorcycle controller ECM or electrical issue causing a ground loop but stranger  things have happened.  I retired from one of the worlds largest industrial Control System companies.  We put a control system in major South Texas Refinery.  Controller firmware had a bug in the code which shut down the controllers every 28 days.  Lucky the controllers were redundant and we’d had issues and had to cycles controllers a time or two and they never timed out.  We came up with a bug fix quick…….Shit happens.

This reminded me of a Paul Hogan sketch from decades ago  - he did more that tell you Yanks to "Put Another Shrimp (it's a Bloody Prawn!):On The Barbie".

Hogans' ideas on the "Dangers Of Automation" :

Mind, you, I wouldn't be surprised if some Child Genius in  a Stadium (well, any bloody where) worked out a way to tap into Blue Tooth / Whatever wireless set up a team might be silly enough to leave 'on'. .

I remember Reed saying that riding a stock bike in a SX main would be a death wish. This was was around around 2010-2012, I am sorry I don't remember. Would love to find the video.

This is the exact scenario that has crossed my mind as all of the Stark fanatics point out it is OK to run electric against ICE engines because the HP levels can be "set" on the Stark (as I am sure all future electric bikes as well).  It would be so easy to manipulate HP, delivery, etc. remotely via IOT device.  I am sure there will be virtual locks to prevent this, but just like any other form of motorsports, the builders and tuners jobs are to push it, it is 100% possible, especially in the electric bike realm.

I am sure that is not the case for Benny's issues, but the clowns here treating you like an idiot for pondering this, well, they are deserving of their clown makeup.  My job is in the mobile industry, working with IOT devices, RAN, etc. all day long.  Making stuff like this happen is what us cellular nerds do for fun, it is not only possible but easy.

The bike has been alright in MXGP hasn't it?

Could just be bad luck?

Look at Club with Phil's bike, or an F1 car shitting itself or the challenger blowing up, can happen to anyone.

I don’t follow MXGP, so I can’t speak to whether the bike has been fast there or not, but MXGP bikes are true hand built works bikes.  Their development could be years ahead of the production-based bike Benny is racing.
