Blake is one of the fortunate ones. He got unhappy in the sport, and walked away on his own terms...like James Stewart. I imagine he made enough money to set his wife & kids up for a comfortable life...and decided to be "normal" again. I was a fan, and I miss him out there, but I sure can't fault a guy for having priorities like being a husband and a Daddy.
If/when his place sells he should be set. From what he has said in the past, he was literally putting all his money/invested millions into his ranch. I am sure it wasn't "all his money" but still, a lot to tie up into land/equipment that is only valuable to another motocrosser.

Rapidly losing population? Yeah, its for sure different and it hit the news, but the reality is the net loss is not that fast .

There was a net loss of 100k residents from 2021-2022. With over 39M people in California that's less than 0.3% of the population.
The year before there was a greater loss, ~400k or so, but that was preceded by 100 years of net growth and triggered by a pandemic.
We'll see what the future holds, but I'm not thinking that California is going to lose much of its influence any time soon.
