The Rockstar Edition Huskies look great, and they're predominantly black. Really, only the front fender is white. The front number plate is predominantly black, with the correct background on it, (250).
How about the Star Yamahas? Predominantly black, with blue graphics. They look great as well. It's all how it's accented, highlighted and tied together with graphics.
... and the Villains, the Badguys wear black and ride black horses. Dylan Ferrandis should ride a black bike regardless of the brand, because he plays an excellent villain. As my wife says, "his eyebrows look like he's up to something..." Maybe the 450 ride will flesh out for him.
Women are attracted to bad boys, they love The Villain. The Villain is always surrounded by beautiful women. Triumph made the right choice.
Yep, I thought the same.
As far as the color, I don't care if it's black, but it does seem odd it's not a finished product with graphics and Triumph on the shrouds.
Wow, look at that frame. That has to be the most amazing frame I have ever seen. They should do a video on just the frame and show how special it really is. It might take a trained eye. Most can't see it. I see it and it is freaking amazing.
Awesome looking bike. I think it’s going to look amazing with decals and everything on it. My only super small dislike is the front number plate. Overall though it’s a sharp looking bike.

I don't expect RC to be at the top of the game. I enjoy watching him ride. But, after watching press day practice I don't really think the bike looked and sounded that good by comparison.
What if...
What if KTM plastic fits???
Hmmmm. Legendary rider on an all new bike representing a serious effort from an important manufacturer while being ridden in a historic location during practice in the final round of an all new series only a few months out from the bike’s racing debut. SMH that the majority of comments are about the color and lack of decals. Guess I’m easily entertained.
Personally I’m hoping for big things from them. This is a massive undertaking and a huge financial risk in a highly competitive market of very well developed bikes. Good luck guys.
Finally I can make out what the shrouds look like from this pic. Even in the picture of it in the pits from the diagonal angle it was still hard to make out due to the black.
Tan would be cool or grey.
Looks good that bike. Funny if it´s not black at all when they finally show the production version.
I definitely agree with the people who say grey looks better than black. Grey looks pretty good imo and its something different. Say what you will but black has years and years of negative connotations from all the clapped out craigslist bikes with mulisha stickers you came across over the years. Whether its deserved or not is not my call, but it just is what it is. Grey looks sexy imo.
Nothing like a ktm with an aluminum frame, let’s see what real features it has.
Beat me to it.....
Hands down.
Were you there? If you were or weren’t it’s quite obvious they’ll sound different, you are comparing a stock bike to fully modded race bikes. Sure they’ll sound different and sure it looks bad, it doesn’t have a single sticker on it.
If it's Black, it's Black.
But, it would be pretty good if they have arranged a special showing / couple of laps during the race day / evening, and they came out in a different colour than what they've shown so far.
That would be a clever bit of marketing, I reckon.
And yes, a Grey / Gray or a something like the plastic colour that Acerbis (and others?) did for CRs / CRFs some years back as a tribute to the original CRs, would be great.
But, probably Black - they might just bring it out in the Graphics they are to come with, I suppose. The next "reveal" so to speak.
They just need to find a turtleneck guy to sign the shroud in white paint pen and they are ready for production. 🤘🤣
I wonder who else they have hired for staffing. Mechanics, suspension techs, motor techs etc
Pit Row
I vote for a light grey with a lot of British racing green. And the classic chrome Triumph emblem incorporated in the graphics.
Looks strange. The frame and swing arm look out of proportion somehow. Could just be a bad picture.
I Made up a quick sloppy graphic design on it. With Joe's #17
I think someone said it will end up being green in production.
Weird they couldn’t slap a Triumph sticker on the side at least. It looks like a Craigslist special with all black plastics
"Cc to cc the two stroke is just as good"
So you're saying a 450 two-stroke will outperform a 450f?
Great to see live testing of the bike on a SX track for suspension.
With homologation rules dont they have 600 minimum produced and availible to buy by a certain date? Or will it be like the original YZ400F Henry raced?
Besides here in the USA will there also be a Triumph teams racing in other countries?
Where did you hear pre detonation??
Or are you just talking to talk.
Don't care for the all black but damn it sure sounds good. I'd buy one
I could tell right away it needed one more tooth on the rear sprocket.
they would all look like shit without graphics adding some color. give it a minute.
