Like this, 22 at RD1, Top 18 at RD2 and then top 16 for final round. Add a 250/450 dash for cash for the top 5 overall lap times in qualifying with a $25k purse to the winner at at least the final if not all 3 rounds

I know, he asked what rock I lived under, and that was the last reference I had to the LCQs, I had not seen additional posts on it. Glad its on TV, would have been a bummer to not show it.
Marsalisi is a 250 SX guy even though he raced 450 outdoors, messaged with him last week and he said he messed up his shoulder at Unadilla and is going to give it rest and get checked out, so he's out.
If there is a ton of money giving back to the riders it could be beneficial.
Looking forward to LCQ mayhem, even the mains in the last rounds with multiplied points on offer, may encourage some aggressive riding. Certainly going to be interesting just how all this plays out.

I mean, he’s the one that chose to race for RWR, which is primarily a WSX team. McElrath is on the RWR team and put together a program to race the last few nationals and these SMX races. I think some guys just want to race more than others.
So that’s the final list, good to see.
What’s the process if a few riders in the top 20 are injured? Let’s say by the final round that 3 top 20 guys are out and 3 LCQ guys are out. Will it be 7 riders in the LCQ racing for 5 positions in the motos? Do they keep drafting in more to fill the spots? Or do they run with a short gate in the motos?
EDIT - so according to the rule book they just keep drafting in new entries to fill the LCQ.
He is on a new Team and the bike basically does not exist. You would think he would figure out his own effort for three races, but they are across the country in two weeks and it's a lot to ask. It was Joey's doing, nobody is treating him poorly. If he wanted to race, he could sign up.

Interesting - the term “Riders for the SMX Teams” appears throughout the rules, rather than “Riders”.
Money is paid to the “Entrant”. Riders responsibility to determine how the Entrant pays the money to the rider.
250 class payouts are all over the place relative to the 450 class. They start at 1/2 for the same final position, vary from 1/3 to 1/5 as you go down the list and finish at less than 1/12. Position 22 in 450 pays $25K; position 22 in 250 pays $2K. It’s not until 6th position that the 250’s payout reaches $25K.

I'm fairly sure he's asking about the LCQ. I feel that's a legitimate question to ask as they don't show the outdoor, or triple crown LCQ on the broadcast.

With Friday having practice are they loading the pits a day earlier so setup and tech happens on Thursday instead of the normal Friday? When does privateer waiting line start lining up? Wednesday or Thursday?
