With this level of domination, riders must really be scratching their heads. Jett said that he studied with Stefan Everts and his riding style is very similar. He stands through all the turns. I have seen it up close and there is a huge difference to the way he goes through turns. I'm wondering if other riders will be studying his style and we might see some changes to the way the other guys do things?

I'm sure guys will adapt and adopt things as they can from Jett, but it's not going to be as visually obvious as the stuff Stew was doing.
Jett isn't really doing anything new or unique, he's just doing what he does at an insane level. Guys can try standing up through the turns but it won't make them Jett.
Jett isn’t doing anything new… he has just mastered what the greats have already implemented all in one.
Yeah, DV was breaking down on the Pulp show how Jett uses his brakes less and this allows the suspension to work better. I expect to see guys adopt more of these techniques. You're right, it's not as visually obvious as the way JS7 changed things. But Jett also doesn't have the spectacular crashes.
Jett still has all Hunters movements, Defence we call stronger longer and attack over the bars but Jett maintains central roll speed more.

Nothing Jett does is new. Where did all these fanboys come from?
It's already changed my riding style (on my 480 lb ADV bike)...I'm smooth like a vegemite sammie. I'm also going to buy every product he endorses. I just know it will make me be like Jett. Don't forget his donuts....I'm eating them 3 meals a day.
I think the best rider of each generation sets the tone for what everyone else focuses on. During Ricky's domination, his competition had to focus on training to have any chance of competing with him. Then Stew came along and everyone else, along with maintaining elite fitness, had to take advantage of the torque of the modern 450 and complete insane rhythm combos with ease lap after lap if they wanted to run up front... as well as scrubbing a much higher percentage of jumps than anyone prior. Then, Villopoto and Dungey came along and had the elite fitness, could run the insane JS7 pace (Villopoto more so than Dungey), and also could do it while avoiding the dirt for the most part (in this case, Dungey more so than Villopoto).
In my lifetime (I'm younger so wasn't around for the progressions of the 70s, 80s and 90s), these were the noticeable evolutions that the sport has taken and they were spearheaded by a small group of riders. Tomac and Roczen also had several seasons of showing insane speed and dominance... Roczen had his historic 2016 MX season and Tomac 3-peated 2017-2019, along with his 2022 resurgence. I'm not sure if they necessarily brought anything new to the sport though - I've always been a huge Tomac fan and think he's borderline Mt. Rushmore in American SX/MX, but I don't know if he necessarily progressed the sport in a noticeable way like the other few did, from my perspective. I suppose you could say he took the combination of speed & fitness to another level - for the longest time, when Tomac was "on", nobody in American motocross (and, to a lesser extent, Supercross) could run his crazy pace for a full 30 + 2. It seemed like the pace he was running was unsustainable for a full moto for anybody other than him. So, I'm sure a lot of his competition focused on stamina and fitness in efforts to beat him. Sexton came along in '22 and hung with him in a way that we hadn't seen, and it looked like he was bound to be the next dominant 450 moto rider.
But Jett appears to have an attention to detail that isn't present in any other current rider. I've noticed this with both Lawrence brothers - they'll cut a corner a little bit tighter, spin the rear wheel a little less, avoid a couple more bumps than the other rider and make up a hair of time. Over the course of a lap it amounts to 1-2 seconds, and over the course of a moto it amounts to much more energy conserved and the ability to complete essentially perfect, mistake-free laps up until the checkered flag. I'm sure other riders have noticed this and are going to hone in on that level of detail... not that it's going to dethrone Jett anytime soon, but I'm sure many will try.

either way, nothing he does is new. He actually sits more than Everts. Sexton and Jett have almost identical styles. Sexton bit more over the front.
Hopefully, Jett’s smooth and fast style will end up with a lot less riders ending up in the hospital instead of copying JS7’s style
The main thing is see between the two is lines. Jett is exiting ruts early, cutting in, crossing over, expending less energy. I dont know where he gets the traction sometimes but that is the main difference to me. I also think jett is stupid mentally strong. Chase of course samples the dirt too much.
As long as we can keep these younger riders from trying to ride like Barcia, revving the piss out of their bikes and pissing off their dads, I'm all for it.
What Jetts doing is nothing new. But i do think Jett will have a large influence on kids wanting to learn the right technique, creativity with lines and encourage safer riding.
i think he already has influenced the next gen.......as mentioned above like RC/.JS/CR/Kdub did..............
jetts style has to be energy efficient thou as compared to some!
I think his influence will be the ability to ride at 95% without mistakes. Not only did he win every race but he only crashed once in 22 races.
When in Europe Jett was training with the Everts Family. Then went across to Roczens family. Two people who had a large impact on his riding style. He didn't studdy Everts.. Stephen Everts dad coached him and Liam together.

??? I think probably nearly every champ has done this at different times.
Everts was well known for it, Roczen did it regularly, hell I can even remember Reed doing it in 2011 at Hangtown when he came out and beat RV and Dunge.
I remember a video from Hangtown where a fan recorded a video of Jett going down one of the downhills in the beginning of the lap vs. Sexton and all the rest.
The difference was huge. He floated above the braking bumps when everyone else (incl. Sexton) were hitting them like they were paid to hit them as hard as possible.
Does he anything completely new? No not really. But he has by far the best technique of all riders at the moment and he is able to put all aspects of riding and racing together into an unbeatable package.
Tomac in 2015 was jumping across/over corners.
I think Stewys, Jett’s and Chase have similar style. I think Jett is in a more neutral position compared to them, but very similar
Last year versus Tomac everyone said how smooth Chase was and his technique was flawless. Now after racing against Jett he's a bulldog and stiff like Jeff Stanton

Its more than just standing and roll speed. Its having the ability to push his body back on command coming into corners, its using the power effectively. And don't even get me started on his savage race craft. Jetts playing 4d chess while some of the observers are playing checkers
Naw, I don’t see that at all. He does sit a bit over the bars, which could be seen as that, but he does use his legs and core like jett. If he does figure out how to be more centered, he will be more efficient
I've been riding and following this sport for 40+ years. You don't like the question, piss off and go do something else.
If you don't think these guys aren't studying what Jett is doing and trying to apply it after he won 22 straight motos, you're a freaking idiot. What do you think he's doing, just twisting the throttle a bit more? He has combined several techniques to achieve maximum smoothness. The fastest riders in the world getting paid millions and millions of dollars can't even touch this guy.
For those asking, Jett stated in a press conference he had been working with or studying Everts in the past. You can see the similarities.
And you don't win 22 straight without doing something new. If you think he's just riding a bit faster than everyone, you don't know shit about motocross. DV broke it down pretty well on Pulp. If you have nothing to offer regarding the topic, why not just keep your mouth shut?
Jett's riding style is not novel IMO, he's just really talented. His approach is akin to that of many of the greats - Hallman, Robert, Jonsson, Tripes, Bailey, Lechien, Everts, Windham, who are silky smooth.
What Jett has done (as has Chase, but Jett has been faster) is apply that to this era's level of bike development across suspension and power delivery, and in the further another rider will extend the smooth style to even better bikes, just as some rider will extend the balls out style of guys like Hannah, RJ, RC, Tomac,etc., who are more rough riders, when bikes improve to allow the limits to be pushed further.
But that is not a change of riding styles; it is the play of the same different riding styles in different eras with different bike performance ceiling. Jett is not doing anything revolutionary. He's just been better than the other riders.
Go to any track and the local hot shoe will be putting in heaters without taking his feet off the pegs / straight back and minimizing his body language
