He's earned it... But deserves to go? Only if he's fully committed. Nobody deserves to represent the country that isn't all in. And if any of this is true (I have no idea if it is), then I think someone that wants to go and is fully committed "deserves" it more. I haven't been either a fan or non fan of Deegan, but he's been growing on me through this year. If this is all BS and he hasn't said anything about not going, let's get him on the team.
But if they are having to beg him to go, I'll pass...

IMO I had hoped 1st choice would be Deegan, not for any of the flag waving ‘Murica stuff but wonder how much he could shake up the MXGP MX2 regulars.
2nd choice would be Forkner as he seems to be patiently building up race fitness - more importantly the wild crashes have not happened, just hope I haven’t jinxed him.

As a Deegan fan thatd be disappointing. You cant control cards your dealt, i.e. your "teammates", but doesnt mean you dont go and give it your all.

Just something to consider- the Ernee track has hills so steep that you can’t really walk up them in dry conditions, and the track will either be subject to rain at the time or purposeful over watering by the organizers.
french riders have a distinct advantage at this place, most of them have raced it at the club level sine they were on 85s
im sure most of the mxon potential team riders for any country know that this will be a really difficult race, maybe that is why you don’t have guys standing up to volunteer.
