How a sensible and mature teen handles a first moto blow up:

https://www.vitalmx.com/features/REPLAY-Jett-Lawrences-Engine-Lets-Go-a…

While I agree that this video doesn’t show quite the same reaction, it also didn’t occur in the same circumstances.

After that DNF, Jett was down 10 points with 15 motos to make up the gap.

Deegan went down a whole moto with only 5 motos left.

One of those is an obstacle that seems fairly reasonable, the other is almost certainly the death knell for being in the title hunt.

7:20 mark...Grant Langston, not a great look...A true professional would have pushed his bike back to the pits, perhaps stopping at the finish line to congratulate Mike Brown on his championship. Instead you let your emotions get to you and you threw a pitty party. One can only hope this was a learning experience which brought better behavior in the future.

Actually...has anybody checked on the status of the fellow who was in charge of quality assurance at the nipple factory?

I'll assume any down votes to this post will be from Bobby Bonds and his friends an family, so I take no offense.

I would be pissed as well if someone cross jumped me.  The bottom line is the moment is over and Hayden had a 17 year old moment. Move on people

Racing for Star Yamaha is his job, right? He’s an employee just like you are for your employer.

Was bs a b level player at best a judges kid who’s dad paid the refs to foul me out. It was a discrase to the game.  Teammates smashed shit fans in the stands did the same. D1 recruits where there they Loved it. It made me more huge.  Bob knight used to throw chairs across the court & choke or rough his players up to get the intensity up. Bradshaw would throw rocks at photographers. Stanton would throw his bike on the ground as hard as he could in the pits after a big race. Too bad so many people hv no emotion now.  Not everyone is numb & emotionless, a shadow of a person or a man.

This as well as all the other threads are not about you! no one believes your bullshit anyway Mr basketball superstar millionaire so why do you think we want to hear your delusional stories. Firstly, if his contract is structured like most of them he's actually a Contractor and not an Employee.

Now that we got that out of the way, lets keep comparing it to your 9 to 5.....

Do you risk your life every time you go to work?

Have you been training and working toward your job since you were 5 years old?

Does your job have MASSIVE financial bonuses based on your performance and doing it better than others who are the best in the world at the same job?

Does your job require you to be committed and disciplined to it 24/7 to be successful?

Has your family committed their entire lives to help you succeed at your job?

Do you have thousands of spectators and internet warriors analyzing every move you make at your job?

It's laughable that anyone would compare their 9 to 5 to what these guys do and it's a clear sign that you've never even sniffed being involved in racing at that level.

Right. Not really a free pass when he's absolutely skewered over every move he makes. You want to talk about not remembering another rider like that...

His behaviour was egregious and brought the sport into disrepute yet people are justifying it, even calling it heroic.

He's a patriotic American. Surely the right thing to do was whip out a handgun and shoot the bike.

I’m a critic of his behavior off the bike but I don’t see a ton wrong with this. Sure it looks kind of silly but understandable given his title chances

Stew, Pichon, Bayle are a few.

RC…back in the day…SO MANY people seemed to have had such a huge problem with his confidence on the podium.

A good look?

What's a good look for guys risking their lives for a good finish? I say bring on the emotion. I don't mean chaos, I mean expression. And as a spectator how about we do a better job at understanding the commitment these guys have.
