Vital MX's Take: At this level...it's very, very rare these days to see a mechanical failure and sadly for Jett Lawrence, he just experienced this rare situation while leading moto on at the 2022 Red Bud Pro Motocross National. Even odder, is his brother Hunter Lawrence said on the podium he could feel his bike slowing towards the later stages of the race.

Put it back on the dyno dano... It failed. To think if the average consumer could only get one race out of a production bike? We all know at this level it's not production but damn. Hate to see that for these guys.

Not saying this is the case, but how often does a mechanic or crew member intentionally sabotage a bike? Are there any historical instances?

Star Yamaha being shady on J.Martin's YZ250F when Cooper Webb starting doing good. JMart and A.Mart's bikes were blowing up a lot and nothing wrong with Webb's bike for that whole outdoor season.
