And corner speed.  It's amazing how you can see the 250s pull him, yet he carries so much speed he still passes them.

He's always been a better SX rider and he's doing as well as he did as a full time pro so far Outdoors. . I hope he still ends up racing Foxborough in 24 if its there. Jimmy D at his home town.  That would be something to see! I would like to see him ride whatever bike would allow him to do the best.  A 125 would be wild.  But I think its more of a disadvantage in SX than outdoors.

I've known Jimmy since he was on a 65. Jumping a jump that only a quarter of the  B class was doing, and even some in the Pro/expert class were rolling it. A friend of mine and Jimmy built up a lip when on track walk.  It was technical. A downhill double that You had to turn in the air and the landing was an off camber left turn. A tree on the inside of the takeoff on the side You had to turn towards. Not very big, just technical.

Now you know you need to work on your corner speed!

My god I don’t think I blinked once that whole Moto. I don’t think he missed a single rut.

Before I got a lap in I checked the comments to check what was wrong with his bike on the gate and the first comment mentioned a big double and so for the first few laps I couldn't see a big double or even where one could be.. Then 3rd lap he goes outside and faaaark me that's a big double haha..

I always seemed to be involved in first turn crashes and there's nothing quite like that first lap charge on an empty track to get to the pack and start working haha

That's good shit..

That IS good shit

Anyone who has been on this board long enough , knows I'm a helmet cam watching fool. Literally seen every good one ever made , some.....like probably 20 times ( RV , Stew , Mike Brown And Jesse Nelson come to mind.

I watched Jimmy's video last night.....and my God, it was just awesome!!  In fact , I think I'll rewatch it again tonight. Holy sheep balls he was flying on that bike! Perfect line choices, incredible corner speed And he never gave up , even after sitting on the gate and extra 20 seconds.

Thank you Rippa !!

Was this double at Lewiston, Maine way up in the back going down the hill before that long off camber sweeper? I loved that track but everything there was sketchy haha The closer you were to that tree by the takeoff, the better it set you up for the corner.

Yup. And yes that track was sketchy in a lot of places. It was  a cool track. But rocky in the time period I got to ride there. I wish I got to ride there in the early 90's , Or whenever the place was at its prime.

It kept having sections of the track get cut towards the end. One time they had to stop using the big devils drop when turtles started to hatch and crawl out of the uphill mid moto. Then some other critter had built a home in one of the uphill sections. There was the Eagles nest that was built right in the middle of the track up on a power pole.

That nest helped the track stick around longer though.I was told there is a law prohibiting changing the habitat around an eagles nest after it is built. Since the eagle built the nest while the track was active , they were legally required to keep it a motocross track, or that was the story I heard from a family member of one of the people running NESC at the time. But that place was like a National Park.

Yes. A retired American pro against…well…our friends the industrious beavers from the great white north.

Don't be fooled, it may have changed a bit the past few years as I haven't been following the Canadian scene,  but there's been many many years where American race winners and champions came up here and were shown the fast way around the track.

That picture barely does it justice. Not much of a run up to it. This double is definitely doable, but in national day, on a 125, it is almost in stewable territory

I need to work on my corner speed. Great video.

I loved the line he took a few corners before the double, going over a table followed by a left hander (then right, then the double section).

The first few times he took the main line to the middle of the jump. Then he went wide right and barely got any lift at all, he gained so much speed there. He only did it while he was actively passing. When folks were just behind him, he moved back to the middle of the tabletop so not to give up his secret line.

I counted 26 passes (2 looked like lappers) so did he get 14th?

(assuming 40 riders)

He got 11th in the second moto. A handful of DNFs and a DQ.

Racing the 125 at Unadilla.

Ma.& Ct. had hard rain this morning. Unadilla could be a mudder. So he has a chance. The video is good but the bike sounds stock . Sounds like everyone is starving for 125 racing. Go to Millville or a Mn.,Wi. Local track. The tracks r just as good & the young kids can rip.

Any one know what was wrong with his bike on the line. Steering stem nut loose?

10 minutes in and I was thinking the same.  When he would pass the guys cheering him on, it was hyping me up too.

Fucking incredible footage. I’ll be watching this one over and over for a long time.

Jimmy, you’re a legend
