Vital Reader: Proceeds to list 17.5 riders.

To me it has to be a guy whose pro accomplishments are on a Honda and who was unquestionably the best of his era. Leaves me with Stanton. Such an underrated champion. Six titles in 4 years makes for a damn good resume.

Almost like people associate different riders with different eras of racing 🧐

I don’t associate Johnny O with Honda during the 90s

The 1982 RC250M was a nice bike, but Honda's last works bike, the 1984/85 RC250M was exotic...

1985 RC250M 34

Raced by O'Mara, Bailey, Lechien and Hannah... 1985 RC250M 47

They sold a lot of Hondas.

RJ- hands down. Nobody was as dominant or as cool in his Honda (except MC but RJ was the original). And he sits among some giants. And RJ never went to other brands, winning the last outdoor national of his career on Honda, which is awesome.

David Bailey, because he was on my school books in the 80s.

But as an Aussie,  Jeff Leisk made those early 80s open class Honda's look real good here before he went and crushed in the Gps. Style for days.

True story, I worked with a guy that heard I used to moto (This was in my hiatus) and he said he used to be sponsored and showed me the top picture and claimed it was him. I let him run with that lie. So amusing.

91 Millville I was bummed that RJ retired & didn’t get to see him race.  I,ll b doing impersonation vids of past riders.  The tall & lean riders like JmB . I,ll hv to work on his French accent a little & maybe call myself JNB so he won’t sue me. Haha.  Along with Damon Huffman rename Damon Huffmam Hi I,m Damon Huffmam of Black foot Honda today we,ll b testing the DBP cr125 in preparation for the biggest race of the year. Conclusion of the test of the DBP . We need to slow this thing down. No human can process the extreme acceleration. Including Damon Huffmam.

16 years old...Rio Bravo...for reasons I'll never understand...Marty took me and my friend under his wing for the weekend.  Everybody was at the Holiday Inn.  I was shittin' in tall cotton fellas...I ain't kiddin'.  RIP you stud.

He was such a nice guy. He camped with us at the shougie nats one year. I had a Honda step through 90, which he borrowed. The thing never ran right sense. 😆

Notwithstanding Vital being an MX forum, but when I think of Honda and any rider in particular, for me it's Mick Doohan.

Being from Australia there was literally zero MX coverage outside of the good old ADB mag but 500cc GP racing was big back in the day...probably more so than MotoGP is now, especially with the extremely limited media sources back then compared to now...there was so much focus on him.

Mick was/is huge over here, so if you say "Honda" that's who will comes to mind for me.

Funny thing, was that he didn't ask, just hopped on it and boogied up the hill.
