He is the riding coach of Tom Vialle for the entire outdoor serie, they agreed until Ironman, after that they will see if they continue the relationship or not.
Maybe Marv will do another SX season next year but only if he has a factory ride, so he is probably waiting to see if ktm can shim in a 3rd bike for him next to AP and Sexton
He has to be the longest lasting French rider in the USA but no one would hire him because no French riders last more than 3-4 years here...Ferandis next to retire..Bayle '89-'92 and so on...

Roncada raced here for about 10 years give or take. It think 96/7- 2005-6
Pourcel was 10 years? Wow, didn't feel like that. I thought he was on Pro Circuit for like 3 years then a short stint in 450 on Star Valle or one of those Yamaha teams?

It was on and off.
2007-2011 then 2014-2017
Got an overall win for Valli on a 250 Yamaha.
He rode for factory Husqvarna for a couple years at the end as well with decently ok results.

Went to the vault to check and you are correct. I completely forgot about that come back he had and then getting on the Husky. Now I remember that he did well in MX, but never really seemed to get that confidence back in SX. It was a bummer that he had that break after Pro Circuit where he didn't find a 450 ride. He was doing so well there. Just beautiful style and creative line selection.

His career was fun to follow. Losing in the final round to Canard for an outdoor championship was a heart break.
Everyone has an opinion, however Musquin is one of those guys that you can’t help but like, and if you can’t at least admire his elite level skill, then maybe you’re not really a moto fan.

Spot on.
Marv has been a highlight in this sport for a while... personality and talent. I will be bummed when he does retire. EDIT: did he retire, I never saw any announcement.

He came into my job at the time when he first moved here and we talked for a bit. He was super excited to talk moto with a random fan. He’s an awesome guy.

To my knowledge, Marvin has never officially retired. The previous member who stated he had was being sarcastic...or ignorant.
Marvin has always been a personal favorite of mine, and I have always appreciated his wife Mathilde as well...and not just for her beauty. I met them briefly years ago at the press luncheon (when that was a "thing") at the Dallas/Arlington SX. They were both only a little over a year over here from France, and Marvin had signed with KTM here. I was introduced to them, and thery didn't know me from a sack of beans...but, they were super respectful & cordial to me without any hint of ego or arrogance. They were both extremely nice...and that made a real, lasting impression on a "nobody" like me (I was just a guest of a real "somebody").
I thot he only does supercross now
He crashed and was injured early on in the supercross season. Haven’t heard if he’s going to race again.
I think I saw someplace he had wrist surgery and it did not work, needs another surgery? Maybe?
He is currently riding, he rode a two stroke on Wednesday on a local private track in SoCal.
Maybe he wants the $20k for Washougal and ride without people knowing? lol

He's some kind of manfriend/advisor for Vialle right now.
He would have been a good fit for WSX on the right day he could battle Kenny for wins

From what he explained to LBU, he's more of a race day helper/adviser/problem solver than a riding coach.

Pourcel raced on and off for 10 years in the US.
DV was 12 years in the US racing.
Dylan is on year 7.
Well I stand corrected! never would have thought they were here that long...
He’s been riding 2 strokes down here for awhile now
whatever with the down vote I wouldn't hire him!
Hot wife…family …. wealthy from a long factory rider career …. Walk away while you still can👍
I thought he was gonna ride sx for firepower right?
Most recently Marvin flew in last week from France to help Daniel Blair with the Orange Brigade.

Wonder what Pourcel is up to these days?

They talked but Marv decided to call it and just be Vialle's guy. He'll probably make more that way anyway.
Spot on.

Moose-can would be great in the booth.
