Being in both MX and RC for many , many years.....those little suckers look pretty dang cool haha!
A lot of videos on their YouTube page:
https://www.youtube.com/@LosiRacing/videos
Wow. Losi makes great stuff.
A lot of technology into these. With the upcoming Bugatti MX bike nearing 20k MSRP, a 1k toy seems to be in order of our times.
SO realistic ! it evens SOUNDS like a Stark Varg !
It's just missing 2 extra modes for my taste: " Flowy Fast Jett Smooth " and " Bam Bam "
Jokes asides. Watch their videos. Losi went all in in this. I think the price is justified. Stabilization technology, flywheel, brakes, materials, decals cut outs, customization..etc.. wheelie control mode, there is just so much in this. This is not your Ricky bike. it's much way ahead. A lot of work and thoughts were put into this. It'd be nice if we could get our hands on one to try it out at the races. Go Losi Go! Always been a fan.
I speculate here but I think the reason they did not go with a realistic standing attack mode on the figure is because it would worsen the center of gravity and not roll around as well during a crash. Maybe the figure can be posed or modified. It'd be cool if the legs were articulated and hide those stand bars. Some of the footage is hard to watch seeing the necks being whiplashed so bad , but it is a toy and the flex is serving a function.
Got to be a very deserving child to get this as a gift. See you in 20 years when RC bikes are even more evolved. Imagine modes like " Toni Bou " " FMOTP "
Same, I had so much fun in the backyard with the MC one. I had to fix that thing so many times haha

Yeah possibly might let one go. The one without Ricky's head taped on is in really good shape. I don't know if the battery or charger is in working order for as long as it's been in storage. I will be out of town from tomorrow through Sunday but pm me next week and I'll see if I can find them in storage. Do you know what they're worth because I have no idea in today's market.

Looks pretty cool
I hope the local carpet track makes a class for these.
On carpet with traction compound, gonna be modifying the tip over bars to get more lean angle lol
The handling on these suck. 35 yr RC veteran and a moto psycho. I want nothing more than to love these.... but the reality is a 2wd Buggy is 10x more fun.
Even with brushless, 2.4 ghz radios and kick ass servo/gyros... they still suck.
Have you got your hands on one?
There is nothing rc dorks want more than to be moto bros.
That being said, the bike looks neat. I don't think it will be a successful product for the reasons you mentioned but it's cool to see something different.
Thanks, this post cost me $650 ! 👎😂
Im sold, i had the mcgrath one a long time ago.
i just hope the class gets popular and then heading down to oc/rc would be nuts.
Ocrc no longer exists. Big church pushed them out of the property
Hopefully they will make a kit at some point vs RTR. I know folks are griping about $600, but knowing most of us with race buggies are at least $1K into them, this is "cheap". I have plenty of land now for an RC track and just got a new tractor, I can easily see the need for a track with one of these lol.
And then reappear on the streets of Baltimore lol
I’ve driven one. It’s as easy to drive as a 2wd buggy and can take a beating. This is light years better than the McGrath/Carmichael bikes. It uses software from the RC quadcopters. I was blown away at how easy it was to drive. Riding wheelies is a blast and the jumping capabilities is awesome.
I think this thing would really need to catch on for them to offer a kit. This uses 4 channels with a separate integrated motor/esc/flywheel that's started and stopped separate from the drive motor and a servo to run the front brake. They are selling the control software as a main feature. Not saying it won't happen, but it's obviously been designed as a total package as opposed to how race buggies are.
I could see this being more popular with scale guys than race guys, but also it could be the next 2011 short course class at the track (I'm one of the few people that still thinks short course trucks are fun to race).

Pit Row
The tech in these is pretty crazy. Linkage, cartridge forks, disc brake, etc. Pretty rad all the trick optional parts they have. These things are a Vet rider Works Edition dream! Can't wait to see Vets dropping conevalves on them before the first ride!
Looks like the aftermarket is already spun up to cater to the target audience!!
I love rc and was so excited to see this announced yesterday. I immediately preordered the PC one. I use to race Losi 1/8 scale buggies quite a bit and have been wanting to get back into it. I just recently fully rebuilt one of my buggies but now I can’t wait to get this bike!
Maybe someday they can make the rider move around on the bike to help it handle and look more realistic. The auto stabilization stuff used in drones and planes might be able to be used to make it automated or partly automated. I think they have the riders in the shape they are now for handling and durability , help rolling out of crashes.
Watching some of the videos , I was amazed at how well it turns on berms. Flat ground is ok, but on berms it looks like it can carve a corner really well and it also looks like it jumps very well. Hard to know how many edits have been made to the videos, but it looks like it has improved drastically over the old options. And the licensed gear and other brands on it are cool. The bike looks very lifelike in some of the angles they show. I really hope they take off enough to keep developing and are the next short course truck class.
I'm thinking my backyard could use a few of them!
I used to love OCRC , but unfortunately has been closed for while now.
$500.00 is dirt cheap. When I raced 1/8th buggies and truggy's , I had well over $1200.00 - $1400.00 wrapped up into them. Hell , some of the hand ported Italian motors I ran were $400 - $700 each! That was just the motor! High end kit , with upgrades , motor , servo , electronics ( Not to mention a chest full of different wheel / tire combos.
Over all the years I raced , I came to the conclusion , it was not any cheaper than buying a new MX bike and start racing again. Now RC airplanes???..........Don't even want to talk about my investments into those! Especially the 35% - 40% giant scale. About $3500 - $6000 for a total build. I sold all my huge airframes , but still have a good 6 - 8 motors , ranging from 58cc - 116cc. Sold my DA-170. Awesome hobby.....love flying a lot , but damn it , it aint cheap!
I was excited seeing the kawi, matched my 23 KX pretty well!
But $800 Canadian is a bit much for my wallet.
battery isnt an issue. Not looking to use it just something for the garage from my childhood. No idea what they are worth. Kinda forgot about them till I saw your comment lol I will PM you next week
These are super cool. I want one, but heck, for $5 or $6 hundred bucks that could be my down payment on a Talaria 3X.
I have double the price in each of my 1/10 Touring Cars . This is pretty reasonable price for what you get . A TC chassis alone can be more than this rtr .
Hell, I have over a grand in my Traxxas Nitro slayer pro 4x4 and I had way more tied up in my RC10s back in the day.
